Every once in a while a local restaurant will have a keg of one of their beers. But you can't just walk into your local packie and come out with any of that beer.

3-4 years ago, it was much more difficult to procure. There were severe limits on the amount of cans you could buy. Like you could make a 3 hour round trip to Treehouse, wait in line for hours, and only be allowed to buy like 6-8 cans total. It just wasn't worth it, as good as the beer is. Trillium was similar but not as severe.

Now, you can walk into either and buy a case of whatever they have, which is usually like 6-12 different beers. You can literally drop $1000 or more if you wanted to (I think the most I've dropped is around $200 in a single visit). Vitamin Sea is at that stage right now. They only sell cans one day a week - Saturdays - and usually only offer one type of beer, sometimes two, with limits of 2 4 packs per beer. Luckily the lines aren't crazy long so I can be in and out of there in 10-15 minutes whenever I need to stock up.

These beers are different from pretty much any other beer I've ever head, including Alchemist and Lawson's (Hill Farmstead is closer). They are super hazy, and super juicy, for the most part. There are a ton of different beers they make in the NEIPA category, all with slight variations in terms of type hop, etc. My palate isn't advanced enough to be able to identify specific hop, but I can definitely taste differences between all of the different beers.

Here's a list of beers I've had from each (I keep this updated on beeradvocate to track):

    Treehouse
    Tornado
    Super Typhoon
    Ma
    Snow
    Old Man
    Perfect Storm
Super Sap (maybe my favorite I've had from TH)
    Doppelganger
    Trail Magic
    Curiosity Twenty Eight
    AAAlterrr Ego
    Julius (flagship)
    Bright - Citra
    Haze (also amazing)
    Green
    Bear

    Trillium
    Launch
    Little Rooster
    Melcher Street
    Running Naked
DDH Fort Point Pale Ale (maybe my #1 favorite beer on earth)
    Vicinity
Cutting Tiles (Galaxy) - yum - brewed with honey
    Stumpy Duck
    Scaled Up
Mosaic Dry Hopped Fort Point Pale Ale
    Pilsner
    Mettle
The Streets (triple IPA - so delicious)
    DDH Farnsworth Street
    Pocket Pidgeon
    Cutting Tiles (El Dorado)
Congress Street (maybe their original / flagship)
Dialed in (w/ Pinot Gris juice)
    Cutting Tiles (citra)
    Publick House
Dialed in (w/ Sauvignon Blanc juice)
    Fort Point Pale Ale
Motueka Dry Hopped Fort Point Pale Ale
    DDH Melcher Street
    Big Sprang
    Heavy Mettle
    DDH Sleeper Street
Pot & Kettle (porter - rare for me)
    Amarillo Dry Hopped Sunshower
    Big Bird
Dialed Up w/ El Dorado & Pinot Gris juice
    Bumpkin Island
    Tiny Chicken
    Nauset Lighthouse
    Blueberry Super Soak (sour)
    Double Seesaw (raspberry)
    Apricot Stonington
and honestly there are probably a handful of others
Amazing list. Truly amazing. Sounds like The Veil Brewing in Richmond.

If you ever journey by private vehicle (13-14' truck preferred ), I'll clear some space in the regular fridge AND the garage fridge and print a few Franklins...

    (shameless again)

I got my 4 last PM, consuming 1 with dinner and the second as a nightcap. Rinse, lather, repeat tonight, then dry (work) weekend so I'll hold my posts in storage until midday Saturday.

Craft sales down if I'm reading the text and bar graphs correctly.

Nice Straw colored pour with 1 finger lingering white head.

The beer has a beautiful fruity aroma. I would believe it smells like Foothills description of the beer, "Apricot, blueberry, clean citrus, lemon, lime, lychee, mango, orange, papaya, peach, ruby red grapefruit all make an appearance in the flavor and aroma of this brew."

Despite all that, the flavor of this beer is not that complex, to me. No way do I taste all that fruit. It's juicy, but the juicy is balanced with lots of hop flavor from 5 difference citrusy hops (I have no idea what they are, probably some Citra and others). I taste some lemon and a clean refreshing IPA.

This is a new Core beer from Foothills lineup, and it's worthy. It's an outstanding IPA. You'll want another one after you try it.

High Fuse Category 2. I rated it 4.0 on Untapped. Not as good as Burial, but very good. I got plenty of cans to share, and it's great out of the can - I'm sure you'll see it at the store soon.
Finally got around to buying & trying some of the Foothills Festival Express. I'm with RJ here: I really found it more "piney" than anything. The "juicy" part was less prominent than I expected, but the beer got better over time, probably due to palate adjustment. Really solid Cat 2 IPA, so I'm glad I have five more cans awaiting consumption.
"Amazing what a minute can do."

Hmm, I think I've seen this on the shelf at Bottle Rev. Might have to buy a can after the above and RJ199's reviews. Thanks.

    Which dunkel is best?
    Grant Hill
    Dahntay Jones
    Gerald Henderson
    Zion Williamson
    Cassius Stanley

While the appreciative audience is limited, I think I have stumbled upon a solid beer naming theme.
A shame dunkel is not a more popular style.

Have a wheat ale in the fridge I can fall back on if need be for tomorrow. I'll do some browsing this evening or tomorrow morning and see if there's anything else worth springing for.

Group of friends coming over for the IU/Purdue and Duke/fake academic institution games tomorrow. Will be making the rounds to the local breweries this evening to fill up several growlers. Should be a good day!

Counting down for when someone will admonish you for injecting basketball into Ymm, Beer...

To answer your question, my fav is the G. Hill dunk from what I recall (not always 100% accurate) was darn near the top of the backboard and almost level with it on Hurley's *almost* errant pass.

If you find some IPAs/IIPAs or saisons with "wheat" on the ingredient list, we *might* be able to petition our host for a 5th or 6th beer, err, year "hardship" waiver.

Well, for what it's worth, I am pretty certain what dunks you refer to with Grant, Dahntay, and Gerald. Cassius, I assume is from this week. But honestly, I don't know which Zion dunk you refer to. Which speaks volumes to his credit.

Regardless, the correct answer is Grant because of the stage.

I'm dummer than I look. Perhaps someone at a higher pay grade will recognize this.
