So coupling the fact that I swung and missed on several nominees for the February Virtual Pub as well as the ultimate on-court result of the January event, I'd like to cordially invite you all to join me once again in the BrewDevil Lair this Saturday, February 8th. We're playing the last-placed team in the ACC, so hopefully it's a blowout and we can focus on our beers.
Quick reminder on our styles thus far:
July/fuse/NEIPA
August/RJ199/goses
September/Tripping William/Octoberfests
September/mattman91/Saison
October/DevilDeac/sours
November/accfanfrom1970/stouts
December/luburch/Holiday Ale
January/thedukelamere/Barrel-Aged
To honor everyone's favorite DBR frenemy, the style will be...
Wheat Ales
Pub will open at Noon (ET), where we can discuss our plans for world domination, the full slate of ACC games, designs for our matching 9f tattoos, how embarrassing the Iowa caucus has been, the possibility of a snaking hosting schedule since there are only so many diehards in this thread (looking at you for March, luburch ), as well as place bets on which opposing player will be under the bus in the post game interview (hopefully).
This is great!! A self-nomination!! Bold, never-before-done in the long <cough> history of the Virtual Pub and a wide open category. Ironic choice given the poster mostly-formerly-known-as-wheat is a big "u"nc homer . I'm on call this weekend but will be making a visit to Bottle Revolution this evening to sip a couple half pints, have some pizza on the patio from a nearby cat 3 pizzeria/Italian ristorante and buy a solo or three singles for tasting Wednesday and Thursday nights so I can leave thedukelamere some starter posts starting midday on Saturday.
Thanks!!

ABV-10%; frightening stuff
Overall impression-outstanding concoction
Ymm, Beer rating-middle shelf, near the front of cat 3; I'd have bought a 4 pack but Bottle Rev sold out; will check Total Wine tomorrow
