Might have to ask my wife for permission to stop by there when we drive through W-S on the way home Sunday.

    The Veil Eager to Bleed

My first complaint is whoever designed the Veil cans did not have my eyes in consideration. My vision is pretty decent and I can’t really read almost anything on the labels.
Yeah, yeah, get off my lawn...

Pours like a cranberry coloured milkshake, thick and opaque.

Smells a bit like a sweet raspberry vinaigrette.

Tastes like a raspberry sherbet slush.

Wow, this is one great beer.

I’ll forgive Veil for their packaging and just rely on the kindness of others to let me know what precisely I am consuming.

    Another devildeac delivery special!

    Cheers! 🍻

The Veil New Sun farmhouse inspired ale

Almost skunky nose, and loaded diaper smell.

Rusty gold colour, clear not hazy.

Likely suffering from palate fatigue from Eager to Bleed.

Good mouthfeel. Some wheat and spice (coriander?) notes.
    Also a little bit peppery.

A bite of food rescues New Sun.
The nose is still a bit off.

This might be a beer that needs the right food pairing.

Grateful to have tried it. Thanks devildeac! 🍻

    You're welcome.

Both RJ199 and I really liked that beer and figured you'd have the above impression, too.

You're welcome again. I thought you might enjoy that one a bit more given your penchant for saisons, but, that may have been the Veil beer I liked the least.

The Veil Dusty Roads dry hopped pale ale

Showing my age- immediately thought of an alternate spelling and a tribute to former WWF wrestler, Dusty Rhodes.

    No head, straw coloured.

A wonderful pineapple and tropical fruit nose.

Starts mildly bitter with an effervescent transition to dried pineapple ahead of a subtly bitter finish. A bit of a dry finish also.

This would be an outstanding example of an every day beer.

    Quite excellent.

    Thanks again, devildeac! 🍻

So a story that likely only amuses me.

I’ve never really wanted to be Norm from Cheers, and yet I have often wryly observed that with the amount of beer I buy at establishment X, or meals at restaurant Y, I’ve often felt entitled to a Norm level of recognition.

Well, as an outcome of Fullsteam Mondays, I am now one of “the guys”.

When we showed up (Tuesday this week), the bartender smiled, recognized us and shared that we had been coined “the guys” by the chef in the kitchen and that we were a harbinger of Fullsteam getting slammed with business.

So, anyway, I may not be Norm, and I will smile everytime I go to Fullsteam (recognized or not) at being one of “the guys”. 😂🤣🍻

My pleasure. That may be their first/last/only pale ale.

That Veil assortment doesn't seem to be lasting very long...

I am open to a Veil order, delivery 9/7 at the football game. I love me some Veil and would be glad to spread the wealth.

I'm very interested. See below, too.

ATTN: RJ199 and fuse: either/both you guys interested in this kind offer?

One of my all time favorite Cheers quotes.
