I'll send up the Bat Signal tonight or tomorrow.

From a local craft beer store (bolded mine):

"Last Wednesday’s New Anthem Growler feature was a huge success. This Wednesday we are featuring Heist! We will have plenty of tasty Heist beers available for Growlers and all of them for only $5/16oz. The perfect time to stock up for your virtual beer tastings."

    They stole fuse's idea!!

I really enjoyed it. I'm down for a Zoom virtual pub anytime. What else am I going to do?

    devildeac got me a couple.

With luck you might find a review upthread.

    Offhand, recall enjoying it.
Would drink again, just wouldn’t bend over backwards to get it.

I’ll leave the invitation open to set up a zoom with minimal notice for a social gathering.

Any excuse to chat with you all works for me 😁

If I had a nickel for every virtual happy hour someone hosted on zoom since social distancing/shelter in place started, I could retire quite comfortably. 🍻

    But first, an acquisition story.

I noted earlier this is a beer I’d like to find.
devildeac found it first, and asked me how many.
    My reply was 2.
Thankfully, devildeac clarified that I wanted two six packs, to which I responded two bottles.
devildeac got in a few extra twelve ounce curls returning two six packs to the shelves, and we split a six pack.

    Smells super old school DIPA/IIPA.
    Lots of dank pine.

It’s about what you’d expect for a big west coast style IPA.
Chewy, dense hops and lots of them.
Surprisingly sweet in spite of all the tongue coating hops.

Enjoyable, and a beer that may have missed its heyday.

This could have been a beer when Hopslam was the hotness to give it a run for its money.

Thoroughly enjoyable, and a quality brewed Bells beer.

I’ll pick my moments over the next couple weeks to see if my first impression changes.

Great beer, may grab an original Two Hearted to do a side by side.

    Cheers, and thanks devildeac! 🍻

    From Wednesday night.

Fuse pretty much covered everything above, as he very often does. There's lot of pine/resin but equal amounts of grapefruit and orange scents and tastes along with some rind and liqueur flavors. It was brewed on 8/31/19, IIRC, and the shelf life is listed as 3 months so I'm going to finish my two remaining bottles over the next couple weeks and very likely have a side-by-side with the DFH 90 Minute IPA, which is really a DIPA and still one of my favorites.

    ^^^^

Ask and ye shall receive. Buyer beware: that beer was released last fall so I'd look real carefully for some freshness documentation.

If I could return every empty bottle of beer y’all reviewed for a nickel, I’d own the damn internet.

As an aside I have figured out a way to do jackbox games over zoom as a pub trivia option.

Given I took the day off today, I’m not sure the love ninja will appreciate your encouragement of my consideration of breakfast stout.
