Had a Vicious Fishes Octopils pilsner last night.

Not a bad beer, not worth going out of your way for, either.

    Easy sipper.

If you mixed an Orange Julius and a light beer, you might get something like Orange Sunshine.

    Tasty, drinkable.

    Cheers! 🍻
    Orange Sunshine-Lost Province Brewing Company

    It was local when purchased

    Credit-fuse; thanks and more thanks!!
Style-fruited NEIPA; started with "Hipster Juice," previously reviewed
    Temporary residence-pint can
Glassware-felt at home in a standard pint glass
    Appearance-OJ light; moderate, frothy head
    Nose-any 100% juice OJ
    On the tongue-mildly juicy
Tastes-hey, fuse, did you really empty my can and refill it with an Orange Julius? There's some rind and pith, too.
Adjuncts-"...insane amount of whole fruit orange puree..."
    Hops-Cascade, Centennial and Mosaic
Overall impression-really a fun and quite tasty beer on a warm, well, it was more like hot, spring evening
Ymm, Beer rating-so juicy and flavorful, I'll stamp a low cat 3 on this one; I'd have another of these, and probably a third one, too

"Baskerville is planning a 10 percent ABV imperial stout made with dark chocolate."

    May I have a 4 pack, please?

Garden Grove Brewing and Urban Winery. In Carytown in Richmond. Reviewed a couple of years ago, been aging this one. In light of recent events and a 3rd Covid case at work, I broke it open. Death. Yep, Death. A two time award winning Belgian style ale made with Va. grown petit verdot grapes. Aged 14 months in Napa valley carved & grooved American oak Cabernet Sauvignon barrels. 10% abv. 41 ibu’s.

This is an ale like no other. It’s an ale with a bit of malt, oak and raisin. Then you get some sweetness from the grapes and a finish that’s bold like a cab. They made 100 bottles only, 1 pint .9 oz., wish they made more. Had one too soon, saved this one a while. Easy cat 3, hope they’re surviving and want some more.

Hardywood is listed as one of the 200 breweries participating. I suspect that means accfanfrom1970 may see some via Family Tree.

If they produce a limited amount, that'd be a good bet. If they produce a large amount for more sales/profit/fund-raising, all of Richmond and contiguous zip codes may see that brew.

    From last PM:

    Two Weeks-Neuse River Brewing Company

    Really local

    Credit-fridge leftover from another location
    Style-pale ale
    Format-pint crowler ("please recycle")
    Vessel-usual pint glass
Appearance-clear/clean amber; modest, off white head
    Mouthfeel-faintly bitter
Tastes-some floral and some piney hops; light caramel
    IBU-maybe 40
    ABV-5.5%; still crushable
    Overall impression-decent
Ymm, Beer rating-mid cat 2; would neither avoid nor seek out; Sierra Nevada Pale Ale sets the bar and this doesn't quite reach that level

Wait, you had that? I thought you "missed" the several barrel-aged InBev brews that were released.

The year it came out, I tried it.
No idea if it was a one year thing, or has become an ongoing seasonal thing.

Gotcha. I may have been thinking about some other InBev BBA offerings like the Jim Beam (?) amber lager and/or another winter product.

Not looking like another trip to Bottle Rev today for a FrIPAday growler special. There's a good chance however that in-house inventory may be sufficient .

Sorry to hear. Looks like I may get to rendezvous with my gal Stella tomorrow, unless I decide to frequent WMB instead.

Will probably drink some Yuengling Golden Pilsner this weekend. I refuse putting this in ychh, beer. It is actually a pretty good pilsner for the price ($10 for a 12 pack).

If I have to play disc golf, I prefer beer being involved.

Instead? Google Maps claims they're only about 3.8 miles apart...
