I've been looking at this one to try but haven't found it yet. I wish Boulevard.com would put release dates on the website - superimposed over the label picture.

Just realized it is available at the brewery as a crowler. May have to pick up an order tomorrow. Will also try Back to the K and Tip of the Cap.

Looking forward to your thoughts on any/all of those.

    Finally, the review:

    Honeybell-Fullsteam Brewery

    Local

Credit-thanks to whomever bought the last can and shared with the group
    Style-fruited sour
    Format-pint can, shared several ways
Stemware-I drank the last 2ish ounces from the can
    Appearance-cloudy orange; no head
    Nose-Orangina
    Mouthfeel-a bit of pucker
Tastes-orange, sour, hard candy with a hint of sweetness
GRAINS-locally malted wheat, Flaked wheat, Aromatic malt, Locally malted two-row barley
    HOPS-Aged Strisselspalt
    YEAST-Helvetica Lactobacillus, House American Ale
    OTHER-Honeybell Orange Candies, Tangerine Puree
Overall impression-very tasty; would buy/taste another
    Ymm, Beer rating-high cat 2

    Credit-a trader from ClemmonsDevil; thanks!
    Style-NEIIPA
Format-12 ounce bottle (not many of those still filled)
    Manifested On-02/11/21
Stemware-only the best for this one, a Hardywood teku
Appearance-white grapefruit juice with a 2 inch foamy top
    Nose-grapefruit and stone fruits
    Mouthfeel-juicy juice
Tastes-grapefruit, peach, cantaloupe, orange and zest
Hops-"Brewed with obscene quantities of hand-selected Citra hops from our favorite farm in Yakima Valley, WA." (beeradvocate)
    IBU-100 (No. Damn. Way.)
    ABV-8.5%; dangerous stuff
Overall impression-live up to the ClemmonsDevil hype; not the best NEDIPA I've had but damn close and highly tasty; any 336ers that get this will smile for days
Ymm, Beer rating-low/mid cat 3; this is an excellent beer; RJ is right and I'm a bit tough on IPAs/IIPAs, as is TW, but I'd compare with Burial, New Anthem and Veil
I must say thank you to all of the beer mules (especially ClemmonsDevil!) who made last night's beer possible!

I agree, a very tasty IIPA! One of the best I've tried, right there with the Burials and the Veils! Easy Cat 3 for me.

    Fullsteam Thieves of Joy"Modern" IPA

As compared to an "ancient" IPA?

I really liked this beer. Lighter yellow in color, but hazy with a nice white head. Not overly tropical, but not overly piney. I thought it struck a terrific balance of citrus and hops. I have become of tough grader of IPA's (because there are sooooooooo many good ones), but I enjoyed this a great deal. Thanks to fuse for sharing!

I was delighted to get another of these as a "throw-away" during the beer summit this weekend and will drink soon.

Yep, no automatic passing grades on Ymm, Beer where quality is still an option.

Plus, do a bit of research, show us a few stats (but not *too* many) and don't just slap junk up there.

(yes, although my 12 ounce serving originated from a bottle )
    From last PM:

    A Hopwork Orange-Blue Mountain Brewery

Kinda local for the nearby RVA purchasing agent

    Credit-Nrrrrvous; thanks!!
    Style-fruited IPA
    Format-12 ounce bottle
    Stemware-nonic pint
Appearance-well, sorta orange bronze; smallish head
    Nose-pine and orange
    Mouthfeel-a little bite
Tastes-pine, orange peel, orange liqueur, caramel
    Adjunct-orange peel
    Hops-"Pacific Northwest"
    IBU-65 (old school!!)
    ABV-7%
Overall impression-quality west coast IPA; good pairing with a grilled chicken salad with various berries
Ymm, Beer rating-upper cat 2; I'm kinda like TW (who knew ) and grade IPAs moderately strictly; would have another if offered

Yep! Agreed. A very good beer, not a great beer. Glad you enjoyed it!

I just had a great dessert beer at Hardywood West. Problem is, I can't find it online. It was basically a liquid butter cookie! I'll have to do some research and see if I can find it.

    Ymm, beer indeed!
