Lots and lots of rum, in a good way.

I didn’t even have this one but DD did, and he wanted seconds. Good enough for my top 100.
LOL. This was a great beer, shared with our son and younger son in law.

Plus, it didn't need a toaster or an oven.

    Another family tree special -

Cousin Cru, 12.7%ABV - A barrel blend of Basil Hayden barrel aged long boil Barleywine and Basil Hayden barrel aged Bourbon Cru.

Anything with Cru in it has to be excellent. I bought a 2nd of these in the warehouse sale.
That sounds like an amazing combination, a barleywine and a Cru.

My favorite family tree offering -

Great Uncle Cru, 12.1%ABV - Great Uncle Cru was the last batch of Bourbon Cru brewed at our Ownby location and has been aging in Four Roses bourbon barrels for 2 years.

I bought two more of these at the warehouse sale. My heart? liver? skipped a beat when I picked up my box and they said they needed to check because they over sold Great Uncle and most didn’t get it. I got mine

Of course now that I have Straight Talk aged 4 years a side-by-side may be in order. Spectacular.
You amaze us every time you mention any of your Family Tree selections.

Imperial milk stout with spices, honey, and maple syrup. It really does taste like pancakes and syrup, in a good way.
    Ahhh, breakfast stout.

    Ymm, Pancakes...

Imperial milk stout with spices, honey, and toasted marshmallow.
Like drinking at a campfire with smores. Bought an extra 4-pack it was so good.
All the GBS offerings have been excellent. This one was a half step above. Delicious.

Gingerbread Stout aged in Caribbean rum barrels with toasted coconut. This will warm your core and bring you to a tropical paradise.
Was able to trade with son-in-law for his and get a 2nd. Rum and gingerbread, almost as good as bourbon and gingerbread.
Tough to choose between this and the BBA GBS.

Bourbon Barrel Aged Caliente GBS 750ml Bottle (1), New! Complete Set Exclusive!

Long awaited from year's past, Bourbon Barrel Aged Caliente GBS is aged on ancho chiles and extra cinnamon for a deliciously spiced drinking experience.

Best pepper beer ever for me. Bourbon, cinnamon, a hint of heat on the finish.
The Caliente was better than expected for me. The BBA version should be even better.

GBS Caliente- from last years set. No barrel aging but still excellent. They made a lot and son and I split a case of 12.

An exquisite blend of our finest ales, aged over a year in Bourbon Barrels.

This was my favorite of this years set. Even better on draft.
I still have 4 of the 2019 set left and haven't touched the 2020 set except for gifting the extra 6 cans to the children and their spouses.

    Ho, ho, ho!!

I think you should petition RJ199 and see if he'd extend your beer credit limit to 200 bottles of beer on the wall...

It sounds like GBS is worth driving to NC to get a case!

I'd call a couple places before making the trip as it's a fall/winter seasonal release, along with a variant or three. The best way to get some might be a trip to the Hardywood Brewery in Richmond, VA and see what they have in stock. Obviously, I'd call them first to see what their supplies are like before you travel.

For the annual GBS Complete Set (since 2018, IIRC), they have on-line pre-orders in September for pick-up in early December.

I just spent 14K on foundation repair for my second home on stilts in Cedar Key, so I’m going with foundation.

You did sink some money into that project.
