After Tripping William hosted Septemberfest in 2019 and the beergoddess' German Virtual Pub last month, I've certainly increased my appreciation for those plain, boring but very well-brewed products.

Wow, even better than the $10.99 or so you quoted last month . And yes, you will be getting some very good beers tomorrow, but not at *that* price.

Ooops, glad you noticed the posts I/we made about it but don't feel left out. Open invitation, just like the one Tripping William has for tailgates if/when they resume in 2021 or 2022. Stay tuned.

Had this tonight with dinner, a chicken/apple/bleu cheese/red onion/candied pecan/mixed greens salad with an apple vinaigrette dressing and thought it was delicious and they paired extremely well. Made me think about what a New Glarus Raspberry Tart might taste like after 6-12 months in Cabernet barrels.

Hopefully, several of us will gather and celebrate this today with some food truck fare from Don Juan, with an appropriate beverage, of course:

Let's see: at least 17 new beers for Nrrrrvous, 23 for accfan and unknown #s for fuse, RJ199 and me from RVA. Hmm, that's a lot of tasting over the next few days, err, weeks and I don't think any involve candy or cartoons but there will be a pastry beer or three.

Oooh, I forgot the 12 new singles/beers for me so I could share/trade the "leftovers."

Real beers, real people, real meet-up today. Thanks to all who shopped, traveled, sipped, ate and traded. Will wait for dozens, nay, hundreds, maybe thousands of reviews and discussions about the afternoon that stretched into the evening.

If cigars were involved, I might have a meltdown.

No tobacco was harmed during the afternoon/evening gathering but, the ribs and chicken were both smoked, along with the gourmet baked beans...

About as close to local as I'm able to obtain.

Credit-prior experience and a good meeting place with a 19 item draft list
    Style-NEIPA
    Drinking vessel-tumbler
    Appearance-hazy juice; small, fluffy head
    Nose-tropical fruit bowl
    Mouthfeel-mild bitterness yet fruity
    Tastes-orange, rind, pineapple and tangerine
Hops-Idaho 7, Zythos (new to me) and Citra cryo
    IBU-27
    ABV-6.5%
    Overall impression-good quality NEIPA
Ymm, Beer rating-upper tier cat 2; there are a lot of NEIPAs on the market and I'd sip this again and recommend a serving to anyone visiting the area

I think two, maybe 3 of us ordered the Contractually Obligated this afternoon and I'm sure reviews will follow when all the participants get settled in for the evening.
