They were still good - category 2-ish. But they were high Category 3 IPA's when I had them fresh.

So the best beer I had this weekend was a FRESH New Anthem Blink. 6.2% Stella just got them in Friday or Saturday.

Hazy pour and citrusy Aroma across the room. Juicy, fresh, smooth, and Big Mosaic flavor. It's simple, but just gets even better as you drink.

    Category 3 from New Anthem.

(I bet after 30 days this beer would be Category 2. I'm convinced it matters even short-term with this style).

It's a great week to drink one of these as they will be fresh and it should be warm 60's. Nice!

That *might* be a first that I *beat* you to a SPBC high gravity product.

This was today’s from-the-can swing oils. It is the most “floral” Pils I have ever tasted. In a really good way. It’s light, and has a bit of bite, but also a complexity that I usually don’t see in this style. I wanna revisit, but from a glass. Thankfully I have three more (and Mrs. Tripping isn’t really drinking much beer lately).

    Good stuff.
Revisited this one (Perennial Artisan Ales Pils pilsner) in a classic pilsner glass last night. A beautiful bright gold with a nice, foamy head. Had a lot of "bite" in the first few sips, but as it got some air and warmed a little, the floral notes returned. Nice body to it, too. Very tasty.

Sounds like a fairly classic pilsner.

The Scott's Addition love is well-deserved. Interesting how Hardywood is on the "other" side of the street.

Yeah, Hardywood likes to say that they are Scott's Addition. If I recall the Scott's Addition pre-2010, it would not have gone over that far. But hey, I'm not one to call out something that nit-picky and then argue about it post after post after post after post...

    Wait, where was I?

    And super bitter.

Probably no new beer for me for a little bit. Too much in inventory that likely won’t age particularly well. Sipping on NA Vapors at the moment, which fits that category.
