Lots and Lots of Posts about Drinking Beer
Went to Hardywood today for pickup. Going to shamelessly post every beer purchased, plus the family tree box #1 that came out yesterday. May take me all night.
Intermingle - 4-pack
Bourbon barrel quadrupel (15 months age) + bourbon barrel barleywine (14 months age) + chardonnay barrel Belgian strong golden ale (4 months age). Family Tree exclusive.
Put one in the fridge, will be trading 2-3 others.
From box #1.
Brandy Barrel Blend 13.1% ABV
Starting off the year with a big one! This 20-month Grape Brandy Barrel Aged Imperial Milk Stout is blended with a full bodied 22-month Grape Brandy Barrel Aged Belgian Quadrupel.
Second from box #1
Brian's Barrel Blend 13.3 % ABV
The next installment of the Brian's Barrel Blends series starts with a 10-month Caribbean Dark Rum Barrel Aged Wheatwine. Harmoniously blended with a 11-month Laird's Apple Brandy Barrel Aged Imperial Milk Stout, this unique 13.3% ABV beer is what cold winter dreams are made of.
Third from box #1
Bourbon Raspberry Truffle Stout 11.7% ABV
Get ready to indulge! This beautiful blend of 18 month and 22 month Basil Hayden Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Milk Stouts is re-fermented on luscious Raspberry Puree. It is then conditioned on Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Beans and Toasted Coconut for the ultimate dessert beer.
Ruse - picked up the 2019 version in the warehouse sale, and the 2021 version today too.
Patiently aged in red wine barrels, Hardywood Ruse unites port-like qualities with distinct dark chocolate and molasses characteristics, while oak and leather dominate the aromatics. Ruse offers a rich mouthfeel with a deceptively dry, tannic finish. 11.3% abv. 60 ibu’s, but I don’t believe that.
