Sycamore Sticky Crystals IPA

This is new. Like, first released at the end of December 2019 new. Being distributed in four-packs of 16-ounce cans at Whole Foods. Pours a cloudy/funky yellow color. Foamy head that lingers a looooong time. Sabro and New Zealand hop varietals give it an interesting funkiness on the palate. More dank than citrus. And it grows on you over time. I wouldn’t call it “stand-out,” (mid Cat 2), but it is definitely different (in a good way) from your standard IPA. Looking forward to the other three cans.

They also have something called a Minkey Boodle from Thin Man Brewing out of Buffalo NY. I almost picked that one up simply because of the name. It's a Sour Ale aged on Raspberries. It looks like it gets pretty good reviews. Might have to pick one of them up also.

Based on T-dub's review, I'd have bought a single. I was certainly happy to receive one from TW as a trader. Now, I'd consider a 4 pack, taking 1 for myself and trading the other 3.

Tastes-buckets of raspberries, orchards of grapes, a splash of lemon juice and a hint of bitter with a grape must to finish
Grains-raw wheat, malted oats
Hops-Nelson Sauvin and Mosaic
Adjuncts-lactose, raspberries and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes
IBU-I'll guess 50 but bitterness here was shoved into the back of the moving truck
ABV-8% (wait, there was alcohol in this smoothie?)
Overall impression-when Mrs. dd asks for another sip or three of a sour IPA/IIPA, it's an otherworldly beer
