First of four

Major hat tip to accfanfrom1970, and the Compass Rose Brew Crew!

Thin lacy head atop a clear copper hue.

Zesty ginger nose.

Wow. Wow. Wow.

Calling this a “ginger beer” doesn’t do it justice.
Amazing ginger flavour.

Wouldn’t turn down either, the first sip reinforces my memory that the non-BBA Honey Ginger is better than the BBA.
This is a rare opinion for me.

I could drink this all day, every day."

Sour Ale Golden-Fine Creek Brewing

Style-barrel aged sour ale
Format-shapely 500 ml bottle
Stemware-Gouden Carolus chalice
Appearance-light apple cider that clouded over a bit with the last 1/4 of the bottle; fizzy, thin head
Aromas-apple cider/wine vinegar
Mouthfeel-mild to moderate pucker
Tastes-red wine, apple cider vinegar, lemon lime juice
Adjuncts-none admitted
IBU-maybe 10
ABV-5.5% (drinks about 9%)
Overall impression-a superb sour; rivals several I've had from Brewery Bhavana and they've been outstanding
Ymm, Beer rating-mid/upper cat 3; this was extremely well done with the barrel aging and the sourness; paired well with chicken and eggplant parm about 30 minutes ago

I had one everyday for about 2 weeks. I wish I could have done even more than a 4-pack, but had to at least bring multiple servings for RJ, fuse and you. Can’t wait for the BBA version to see if anyone decides it is better

I like the BBA version better, but not by much. Low cat 3 vs mid cat 3 approximately.

I've got quite the recruiting class so far:

#2 quadruple, aka a "4." This one was big enough (high gravity) that it could also see some time at the "5."

#15 quadruple; obviously a "4," too and got some serious "run" last PM.

#2 tripel, aka a "3," is about to enter the game tonight.

#2 strong dark ale, aka a "Zion," almost in a category by itself and could play anywhere.

#101 strong dark ale, aka a back-up recruit and to back up the big guy when he needs a blow (out).

#190 pilsner, aka a "1" or a "2." This one will get a bit of run in the "exhibition" round on Saturday but few, if any rotation minutes in the future.
