Why a DBR meetup of course!

Enjoyed sipping some very fine libations at Bond Brothers with mattman, amused cupcake and the love ninja.

Fun times at a great brewery with even better company.
Fashionably late response, but we enjoyed catching up with you and the Love Ninja.

The beers I had (IPA and stout, and a sip of Amused Cupcake's sour and pilsner) were all very tasty. I don't think I have seen anything from them locally, but I won't hesitate to purchase anything I see from them on a shelf/tap list.

Yes, I picked up a four-bagger of something from Wise Man (among other things).

Yum. I was very impressed with my two visits to WM.

    Fiddlin' Fish was also solid.

Four-bagger from there, too. Plus one from Incendiary. And a pair of bottles of the 2019 Moravian Porter. It was a productive 20 minutes . . . . .

    Nice!

Can't wait to hear about the Incendiary selection. I was very impressed with their space. The beer...not so much.

While undoubtedly the big three are shrinking, the local beer scene seems pretty healthy.

While there are some non NC or non Triangle beers I’d miss, I’m beyond content with what’s available- maybe my imagination is just too small?

Not too discouraging news for the real beer drinkers is this:

"... Microbrew and craft beers are also in a minor slump, down 0.4%..."

Which is better than the big beer's decline of 4.6%.

Not sure my consumption should increase from my usual 1-2 beers/day. My cardiologist might not approve .

Shoot, I'm even more local to Bond Bros than you and I rarely see any of their brews packaged.

Sooooo, you work on the billable hours scale and Stella goes for the billable minutes...

Sometimes you just have to spare a 0.4 on occasion.

I'm astounded that one got by marketing or any censors.

So, Wise Man. Grabbed cans of the Merry World breakfast stout. A “middle of the fairway” kind of beer. Somewhat more like a dry Irish stout than anything. 6.0% ABV and 40 IBUs. Easily Cat 2; good not great.

The barrel aged version was really, really good. Didn't try the regular.
