Haven't seen any other sightings of this one yet:

    So Desu-NEIPA-New Anthem Beer Project

    7.7% ABV

Pale, Wheat, Citra, Mosaic and Vics
[redacted] them and the horses they rode in on.

Double dry hopped with Citra, Mosaic, and Vic Secret. 7.7% ABV. Pours a thick gold with some hints of brown. Also really dank, but not as dank as Yellowed Postcards. Some underlying citrus. Another well-balanced standout. Cat 3. Really terrific beer.

I had resigned myself to missing out but I now have reason to be in "that part of town" this afternoon for a hospital consult. Bottle Rev is a mere two blocks from the hospital and I'll conveniently have an empty 32 ounce swing-top glass jug screaming to be filled for $4 off and hoping it'll still be tasty Monday night when I'm off call again.

    Ymm, Beer indeed.

Not part of the set. Hardywood seasonal offering last couple years. Devildeac and I have one aging from 2019, I really enjoyed it. Boozy pumpkin.

The Rum Barrel Aged Pumking from Southern Tier would be a nice substitute.

Yea, accfan was nice enough to purchase two for me last year and one went to Columbus, OH.

Rumor swirling that someone on Ymm, Beer has a birthday today (private communication, no link ). Therefore, cheers and beers are in order!

Would be a nice birthday beer -

James Watt, CEO of the Scottish brewer BrewDog, said the company worked with German brewer Schorschbräu to create the beer, named Strength in Numbers.

Two breweries that competed in a decade-long rivalry to create increasingly strong beers said they have now worked together and created the world's strongest beer.
The 57.8% ABV beer sold out in less than a day.

I had an opportunity to buy both Tactical Nuclear Penguin and Sink the Bismarck, and passed as they were exceptionally expensive- if memory serves, roughly $60 a bottle. I do think they were either 22oz or 750ml, still crazy expensive.

Expensive? You must not have heard about Dark Lord...

Fun with math... TNP was 330ml, so roughly 12oz.

    $1 in 2009 is $1.21 today, so $72 for a single bottle, or $6/oz.

Dark Lord at $40 for 22oz isn’t in the same league in a cost comparison. 😱

Perhaps. I remember bringing a crowler, and I think you're right. Nice folks there.
Man, if your Mom made you wear that color when you were a baby, and you're still wearing it, it's time to grow up!

I went to both Stella and Brewer's Kettle Clemmons in search of this one after T-Will's review. Stella had sold out of it the day before and so had Brewer's Kettle. So haven't tried, but glad you have such a great one to look forward to for Monday.

What beer pairs best with a really crappy and soul-crushing football performance?

    I’m thinking “generic boilermakers”
