There ain't many beers on that list that I've ever tasted, let alone even recognize but, by golly, I'm going Irish ale hunting this evening and tomorrow night!!

Durty Bully Ironic T-Shirt Hazy IPA

One of the "eclectic eight" I referenced above. My one mistake: Not checking the "born on" date, as this can appears to have been brewed in early September 2019. D'oh! Needless to say it poured really, really foamy. But the hazy yellow color is terrific, and the flavors are actually quite solid for something 10 months old. Citra, Mosaic, and Idaho 7 hops, which are among my favorites. More dank than citrus, but seems pretty well balanced. 7.0% ABV. IBU's are not listed, but I'm guessing in the mid-50's. A quality Cat 2 beer; would love to taste it fresh.

My reaction, too, when I select/receive something that sounds/looks good, only to cringe a bit when I arrive home and *then* remember to check the "brewed on" or "best by" date, often after a billowing pour and an "uh-oh." Glad yours was still tasty.

    Fiddlin' Fish is pretty decent.

Had their That Fish Cray IPA yesterday before meeting up with Richardjackson and beergoddess. Good, but nothing special. Solid Cat 2.

Fiddlin’ Fish’s best beer is their winter seasonal called HAss Over Tea Kettle [insert sagegrouse quip about the “H” here]. Russian tea, in a high-gravity beer.

Good to know. There were several WMB, FF, Fullsteam, Casita Cerveceria, Southern Pines, Haw River and non-NC beers that were soooo tempting but my inventory is still in pretty good shape but I had to pass on all of them.

    From last PM:

    Rising Haze IPA-Highland Brewing Company

    I'll go with semi-local

    Credit-stolen from older son-in-law; thanks!
    Style-d'oh!
    Format-12 ounce can
    Sipping vessel-pint glass
Appearance-light yellow gold; moderate, foamy head
    Scents-citrus and tropical juice
    Mouthfeel-slightly bitter
Tastes-pineapple, orange, zest, peach, apricot and a hint of pine
Grist-"2-ROW, MALTED WHEAT, FLAKED WHEAT, CARAPILS, & MALTED RYE"
Hops-"MOSAIC, EKUANOT, GALAXY, CITRA, CENTENNIAL, & APOLLO;" quite an appealing blend
    IBU-35; I'd have thought a bit higher
    ABV-7%
    Overall impression-well done, HBC
Ymm, Beer rating-high cat 2; paired well with a grilled/spicy chicken salad; would readily steal another of these

If mattman previously mentioned/reviewed this, he gets partial credit here, too.

I have 3 or 4 of these left. Definitely noticed the orange/zest. I thought it was in the same ballpark as the SN and NB hazy IPAs. A larger brewery's attempt at the style, and an overall "win".

Good news: Boulevard Rye on Rye aged in maple syrup barrels purchased for acc fan yesterday.
Bad news: He already bought some.
Good news: I get to keep the 4 pack.
