Try Proper City Brewing...their Lake Effect is gose-style.

Epic Brewing is another big brewery in SLC in addition to the two DevilDeac already mentioned (Wasatch and Uinta)

Secured a few options for the gose tasting.
Will be good fun!
Fullsteam Monday 7/22
A group of coworkers have been frequenting Fullsteam every other Monday.
The kitchen menu, while limited, is fantastic.
Today was the first time this summer there were not at least five brewery exclusives and 15-20 beers on tap. Been a thirsty July in Durham.
As expected, the Beasley’s Honey White and Summer Basil are outstanding.
I did not find the ITA (India Tea Ale) as enjoyable as I had in the past.
That may also be because of the other beers in my flight... (to be continued)
Fullsteam Rabbit Eye Rye Pale Ale
An IPA with blueberries and rye?
Preposterous enough to try (in a flight, anyway).
I don’t generally like blueberry beer, or rye in beer.
The combination is delightful.
I did see 16oz cans in the Fullsteam cooler which likely means if you have Fullsteam in your beer store, you can find Rabbit Eye Rye.
Certainly worth a 16oz can if not a four pack.
Fullsteam Brett Lager
This beer was a treasure.
Predominantly tart, not funky or sour.
If one were able to cut the tartness of a sweet tart in half and add it to a lager, that’s probably the best description I can offer.
I did not see this in cans. You could get Fullsteam to crowler it for you, which means you still need to hit the brewery.
Highly, highly enjoyable.
Fullsteam Catapult
Pale Ale brewed with foraged honeysuckle
A “retro Fullsteam Birdsong collaboration”
This evening’s encore had to wait.
Scratched off on the draft list, I brought a four pack home.
A deep honey gold in the glass.
Smells like sweet biscuits and honey.
I do wish they’d have had Catapult on draft.
A truly silken beer that opens up honey sweet and flows into a dry, floral finish.
5.3% ABV and an easy sipper made for rocking on the back porch in the heat.
Lots of delicate flavour that might stand up to soft or mild cheeses, maybe not much else.
Glad I have a few more cans in the fridge.
Cheers! 🍻
I’m really not too old for this joke.
Apparently the Hanson brothers have a beer called Mmmhop! 🤣

Obligatory Mmmbop video is in the link so I did not include it again.
Ugh I'm sorry to my fellow DMB loving, beer loving dash inhabitant.
I changed it once and would be more than happy to change the date again. If Aug 17 works better for everybody, we could do that? Or if you prefer to try to play from Utah, your definition of gose can be stretched to whatever you can find. You did well in Hawaii, and Utah is gorgeous too. I'm flexible and just hope to be drinking beer every Saturday in August.
Speaking of beer, tonight I'll check in:
New Sun - The Veil - Saison - 5.6 % ABV
As you might expect, this is a very good Saison. It has a big, soapy foamy head. The cool part of this beer is subtle, but easy-for-me to appreciate spices: clove, nutmeg, coriander, cinnamon, all spice - all that stuff. But subtle. The flavors of this Belgian saison are lemon and dry finish. I'll have to admit that I just don't think Saisons are my favorite beer style. But I did like the lingering spice flavors above, and by the time I finished the can I could tell this is a more complex beer than I thought on the first taste. I'll rate it 3.75

Angry Orchard, whose parent company is Boston Beer (Sam Adams), has been accused of having discriminatory security staff in NY.
Geez, I wish we could all be better humans and treat each other with kindness.
Hmm, Veil oughtta consider aging that saison in some gin or chardonnay barrels...
WRT Gose Day in August, Mrs. dd has corrected me (what else is new ?), providing a not-too-subtle reminder that we'll not be at the NC coast on August 8-10 but we'll be in Chicago instead. However, there are 2 stores very nearby our daughter's condo that have great beer selections and we'll be out Saturday AM, August 10, making a selection or three to share amongst the 3 of us and reporting to Ymm, Beer whenever RJ199 opens the doors to the pub that day. Heck, he can declare Gose Days on August 3, 10, 17 and 31 as far as I'm concerned with the 24th being my only work/weekend call Saturday in the month
[redacted] them and the horses they rode in on.
richardjackson199, I can make 8/10 or 8/17 work.
Either way, your call. Seems like we again have a handful of people interested.
Regardless of the day, it will be great fun.
Time for some Maine and/or Allagash sippage tonight...

Anyone brave enough to seek out, taste and report back to Ymm, Beer?

Vicious Fishes Here be Dragons IPA
Very drinkable, if not very memorable/distinguished in a crowded field.
Worth a try.
Mother Earth Mojito Berliner Weisse
Mother Earth is absolutely killing it with the berliner weiss this year.
I am not a fan of strawberry beer, the Mother Earth Strawberry Berliner Weiss was excellent.
The Blueberry Lemon Berliner Weiss is outstanding.
(What are you waiting for? Go out and find some now before its gone!).
The recently released Mojito may be the berliner weisse capstone for 2019.
Pours a pretty light gold, quickly dissipating head.
The nose is a burst of fresh squeezed lime with just a tease of mint.
Sour quickly fades into lime-y citrus juiciness and closes with a bold mint snap.
An absolutely amazing beer.
Find it and enjoy it.
Cheers! 🍻
