Wonder if the Daily Tar Heel, er, The Charlotte Observer, will even publish an edition tomorrow?
the hopelessness continues..
GA 33 - UNC less

Wonder if the Daily Tar Heel, er, The Charlotte Observer, will even publish an edition tomorrow?
I'm going to go out on a limb here and suppose that their fans will be blaming the refs for the loss.
/s/ I'm sure the heels didn't have the stamina to finish that fourth quarter because of all the hard studying and other academic work they were doing.
Final: UGA 33, UNC 24.
Seems like Tim Beckman wasn't on the coaching staff long enough to whip the players into shape.
Of course they are! Darn refs took away a key first down from them when they were trying to drive while down 26-24! It doesn't matter if the replay clearly showed the receivers foot was out of bounds and he did not catch it cleanly with ball on the ground and not in full control. The ref on the field called it a catch daggummit (oh sorry wrong coach!)
The lid er uh the hat was also very mad at the refs when they threw a flag on the UNC receiver who drilled Switzers defender with an illegal pick play the play prior to the non catch! "What was that?????" screamed said hat when he saw the flag! Don't you clowns know we are Unc-Cheat and your silly rules don't apply to us!!!!!
Sitting in the new Wally Wade watching our Devils kick off the season by beating the inferior opponent in the manner they should (could have been 82-0 if Cut wanted) and then watching the Dawgs vs Cheats game on my phone via WatchESPN to catch the last 5 minutes of the Dawgs pulling away? Priceless
Two things,
One... 15 yard penalty on the coach pins UNC back on their own 4
Two, they call a screen play on the 4...
Morons.
I am refusing to watch any UNC games this year so I just saw that screen play on a highlight. I am guessing their thinking was:
"This will really fool the UGA defense. They'll never think we would call a play where our plan is to complete a pass to a guy standing inside our own end zone."
I always liked this graph

This one is dated in 2014. There is a 2016 graph that I saw in print and the school down the road is in about the same place on the graph for the same reasons.
