Very sad and odd “did you see that”. An entire family and their dog found dead on a remote hiking trail with no visible signs of cause of death.

Musk, out front in warning of the dangers of AI...gotta love this statement:

Tesla is designing it so that humans will be able to run away from the robot or overpower it.

Well that's comforting. They going to engineer the robot with arthritic knees?

Wait until they make them drones as well, working together by the thousands like in the Olympics. Add in some AI and its all over folks.

Still no conclusive 'cause of death' on the family + dog that was found dead on the hiking trail in the Sierras. They've bounced around from carbon monoxide to algae bloom but won't get autopsy result backs for a few weeks. Weird, sad situation.

When I saw this I was reminded of stories about animals in Yellowstone falling over dead from exposure to noxious volcanic gases.

Not if you're a forensic pathologist, meat on the bone right there.

very weird. Some of the toxic algae that blooms here in warm weather has been linked to ALS...Dartmouth wrote an interesting piece on this. Scary.

no photos unfortunately, but a friend of ours was swimming in a stream near here and found a fisher looking at her from about ten inches away...odd and initially scary moment, those guys are nasty:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fisher_(animal)

I've fishers on quite a few occasions, but nothing that close up...
