Couple of guys recreate the Dumb and Dumber trip on the mini-bike...

The internet has picked up the phrase “Jessica, we are live,” thanks to a viral faux pas between two newscasters.
Squabbles and frustrating moments between coworkers are nothing new. It just so happens that when presenters Elmarie Kapunda and Jessica Kaimu, from Namibia, had theirs, it was broadcast live. During an airing on the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation, Kapunda introduced Kaimu’s sports segment. But Kaimu was not having it.
“No, you’re not going to do that. You’re just going to greet me, and say, ‘Take it away,'” Kaimu told Kapunda.
“Jessica, we are live,” Kapunda responded.
Then there was nothing but dead air and some tense staring between the two women. Eventually, a news graphic appeared and transitioned into a new segment.

Illegal fireworks blow up inside police bomb disposal truck. Me thinks there may have been something more powerful than plain old fireworks in there.

“Coach said no 3s.” - Zion on The Block
They added to the article. Apparently, it wasn't the fireworks that were inside the truck. From the article -
"UPDATE/CORRECTION: To clarify, it wasn’t the bulk of the fireworks themselves that caused the catastrophic explosion, but rather improvised explosives—40 soda can-sized ones, and 200 smaller ones."

_119393590_legogun.jpgA US gun company is facing a backlash for producing a pistol that looks like a children's toy made of Lego.
Culper Precision said its customised Glock weapon, named Block19, was developed to "highlight the pure enjoyment of the shooting sports".
But Danish toymaker Lego has written to the company demanding that it stop producing the weapon, which is covered in what looks like Lego bricks.
Gun control campaigners described the pistol as irresponsible and dangerous.

I'll never write a move review this good...
Why are you wasting time here when you could be wasting it by listening to the latest episode of the DBR Podcast?
I think Jeff Goldblum's character in Thor: Ragnarok could deliver the rap parts of Evanescence's "Bring Me to Life" ironically.
Anyway, here's Kevin Parry magically turning into random objects.
He also has short videos that explain how he did each transformation.

In the film, James Robinson, who graduated in 2020, shows what it feels like to live with several disabling eye conditions that have defied an array of treatments and caused him countless humiliations. Using playful graphics and enlisting his family as subjects in a series of optical tests, he invites others to view the world through his eyes.
“I don’t have a problem with the way that I see,” he says. “My only problem is with the way that I’m seen.”

Speaking as an ophthalmologist, this is really well-done. I'll have to take exception to his comment (can't remember the exact phrase) that the eye surgeon 'messed up" his 2 strabismus muscle procedures, as one of the postop photos showed him to be 'straight'. Those procedures are incredibly difficult to calculate and predict, and the neurologic forces of Exo and Esotropia are powerful, but I can absolutely understand his discouragement. Don't want to get any further into the weeds of strasbismology, as the big message he gives is a fine one.

Now this is good Olympic planning:

Nice piece in the Times today about a guy who hired two chaps to kill his wife and they both ended up drowning in a canal.
I suppose killing yourself is embarrassing when you're trying to kill someone else, but you can't be embarrassed if you're dead. Own goal might be worse, although dead is pretty bad. I'm on the fence. Jockey falling off the horse as they cross the finish line (disqualification) is fairly embarrassing, although there is a clip of one jockey who held onto the neck of the horse, which is allowed, and won.
Here is a clip of a loser (about 2:00 mark):
