If you like it full screen with subtitles (my handicaps see showing!), try the YouTube version:

Okay, I finally watched the Peloton ad and then this response. Which led me to watch half a dozen Aviation Gin commercials.

How did I miss these? What do I pay you people for?!?

Maybe my favorite (some language NSFW):

Well, a few weeks ago I clued you in to Ryan doing an Aviation Gin ad inside an ad for his new movie inside an ad for a TV set.

I mean, you gotta put in a little bit of work. I leave the bread crumbs but you gotta actually follow them to the destination
Why are you wasting time here when you could be wasting it by listening to the latest episode of the DBR Podcast?

    You overestimate my work ethic.

Musk is such an unpleasant word but this people-moving tunnel in Vegas could be cool. There are a lot of problems we need to solve in the future but one that I'm very interested in observing (so long as I shall live) is the space and transportation issue as the world increasingly and rapidly urbanizes.

Okay. I know nothing about capturing video from public sources. This is from the SF Chron. It is embedded in a story published yesterday. If anyone wants to make this video stand alone, feel free to do it. (You can also show me how to do it--before I get senile and forget. )

Anyway, this video is truly frightening. Scroll down to it (below the slide show) and go to full screen to see it properly. Then don't stand on Santa Cruz rocks in the winter.

This place is not very far from me. Drive by that spot many times a year. Guy in the video has no excuse. Every media outlet around here has been warning about this swell for days, partly because it draws all the surfers into town. About 15 miles north of the darwin award competitor's performance, the waves look like this on these big days:

Also this week, just a bit further north, a dashcam captured a car missing a turn and vaulting off a cliff into the ocean.

Ricky Gervais went scorched earth in his opening monologue at the Golden Globes and it has gone viral. The faces in the audience are priceless.

Gervais absolutely feasted on Hollywood hypocrisy. The audience was visibly squirming - in fear that they'd be the next target.

The Epstein lines and the no in memorium tribute (due to lack of diversity) were as funny as I've seen in a long time.

Picking on Leo was such a soft target, but so well set up, and with the Price Andrew follow through as a throw away. Priceless.

My favorite was shaming the entertainers into keeping their political views to themselves, noting that most had spent less time in school than Greta Thunberg! Ouch!

The upper echelons of most major institutions (be it Hollywood or politics or finance, academia or whatever) really seem to become echo chambers and, ahem, big rings of mutual gratification.

One of the reasons I liked this and things like the old WH correspondent evening. Something about having the most powerful person sit down and get roasted in front of the nation is soooo consistent with our national roots. I would 100% tune into an awards evening for high finance or the evangelical elite if I got to watch a Gervais takedown of a captive audience in the first ten minutes.

You're so right. I can't tell you how many people have told me they NEVER watch award shows, but if they all started like this they would. Don Rickles is smiling down.

Surprised nobody posted up the Embid finger clip yet.

Pretty gruesome looking, but I guess they taped it up and he finished the game.

Oof. That’s a little stomach turning. Hurt or injured?!?! That’s always the question.

It's worse AFTER you are married! Broke the wedding finger saving someone while white water rafting. My reward was trying to get the wedding ring off a rapidly expanding digit. Not my fondest memory.

Don't mean to seem insensitive, but the image of that is hilarious. 😂

Somehow that reminds me of the old “got your nose” trick, but with something longer than a nose.
