Current eruption looks more dramatic than what it was doing in January. If they are contained to just inside the main crater, it's a big tourist draw and not much else.
If it erupts outside the main crater, that's when people are in danger.
I could never I've seen people burn. I do not want to be one of those people.
Haunted me for a few years .
I may be strange. It took me 7 years to drive by the hospital my father died in also .we low key call it the hotel California.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess it may take a couple days to repair this: https://twitter.com/sn00pdad/status/1667883325535518720

Traffic nightmare in Philly for weeks, if not months... in a city that has a particularly good public transport system and largely relies on cars.

This will be a mess. That road is a mess in good times. Though for those not familiar, if you are driving from DC to NYC, you do not go on this stretch of 95 - this is closer to the city while for that drive you stay on the NJ Turnpike.

Didn’t something like this happen on 75/85 just north of midtown ATL a few years ago?

Yes. A homeless person started a campfire under an overpass, which spread to some highway department barriers/equipment which had been stored at the same location. Caused a span of 75/85 to collapse. GDOT offered a huge $ incentive to the construction company, which rebuilt it in record time. IIRC, about 90 days.

I don't expect we will see that happen in Philly. I'm pretty sure construction works differently there than it does in Atlanta.

The images of the Atlanta fire/collapse are very similar to the Philly one.

    Here is Atlanta:

    Quite interesting. Hope it works.
Insurance rates along the costal regions have sky rocketed this year .40% increases in premiums. If you can get coverage.
Other insurers are just pulling out.
The world supply chain runs off the coastal regions . Making it impossible to live there is not quite the way to go.
Maybe things like this will change things.

I have a 100 ft lead for mine.
As soon as he sees water he starts trembling to get in it.
Knuckle head went into the shipping channel between Sullivan's island and ft sumter . Its about 200 yds out.I thought I was going to lose him. My wife would have killed me.
He came back a ways up the beach like nothing was a big deal.
I was very close to calling the police or coast guard.

If you see something funnier than 2 bodybuilders arguing over how many days there are in a week, you damn well better post it here so we can all laugh at it!

Internet forums are a place for great genius and great frustration.

I think my favorite part was when TheJosh has "Week 5" start on a Thursday. Whaaaat?!?!

Hilarious but that has to be trolling for clicks. People are dumb, but no one is that dumb. Plus I clicked on the “calendar” link and it took me to a gambling site (= revenue for the troll).
