Other Duke Sports on TV 2016-17 Edition

It's hard to believe, but another season of Duke Athletics officially starts on Friday.

With the new ACC Network Extra, this thread will probably be a lot busier this season. This service is available through the various WatchESPN formats.

I guess the new system forces the neighbors to broadcast more games, so Women's Soccer's opener against Wofford in the tournament there will be shown there at 5pm ET as the first ever event in this format. The first Duke-produced broadcast will be after that at 7pm ET as Men's Soccer hosts Clemson for an exhibition.

There are a ton of games to watch online tomorrow.

Field Hockey will be on ACC Network Extra when they host William and Mary at 6:00pm ET.

Volleyball also opens their season and can be seen on ACC Network Extra against UNC Greensboro at around 7:30pm ET depending on the finish of the preceding game of the tournament.

Men's Soccer has their opener against San Diego State and can be seen on ACC Network Extra at around 7:30pm ET depending on the finish of the preceding game of the tournament.

Because Duke is significantly more generous than some other places that may be located nearby, the other games of those tournaments not involving Duke will also be broadcast.

Women's Soccer visits Arkansas at 8:00pm ET and can be seen on SEC Network+, which is also an online service through the WatchESPN portal, although you may need to be an SEC Network television subscriber to watch.

Volleyball hosts the noisy neighbors at 6:30pm ET on Thursday and those who cannot make it to Cameron can watch on ACC Network Extra. This is a non-conference matchup thanks to expansion. It really should not have been an issue, but the conference opted to keep the North Carolina public institutions as travel partners while we are paired with Wake Forest. North Carolina State and Wake Forest should have been paired instead. The imbalance in the schedule has likely had an effect on the final conference standings in the past (an unbalanced schedule can actually affect the conference champion since there is no tournament in volleyball).

Volleyball hosts TCU at 6:30pm ET on Friday and can be seen on ACC Network Extra.

Women's Soccer hosts the neighbors at around 7:30pm ET depending on the finish of the preceding game. This is a non-conference game, but expansion is not really the only driver for this one as the coaches chose it in a belief that less than a full round robin would increase the chances of teams getting at large bids into the NCAA tournament.

Men's Soccer visits UCLA at 8:00pm ET and can be seen on Pac 12 Network's National and Los Angeles feeds.
