    Sharknado 4

Imagine my surprise to not see a thread on Sharknado 4.

Guess that is a testament to the intelligence and good judgment of this community.

If you like hokey Star Wars and Wizard of Oz homages, this may be the Sharknado for you.

I got caught up in the original Sharknado twitter phenomenon.
Not that quality was ever the goal, the B movie has descended to a D movie.

Maybe a lot of beer, the right mood or group of friends would make Sharknado 4 watchable.

For me, the bad movie series finally jumped the shark.

I absolutely agree ... I actually stumbled across the movie while channel surfing last night ... I had missed all promotional references.

I thought the first 3 Sharknado films were kind of fun in a tongue-in-cheek, don't-take-yourself-seriously kind of way. But No. 4 just went wa-a-a-y over the top.

And while the special effects were never anything special, I thought these were the worst effects in the series.

I give Sharknado 4 props for killing Carrot Top off early, but subtract the same props for letting Gilbert Gotffied survive (at least I think he did, the film was so shoddy, I'm not 100 percent sure).

PS -- You are right about the Star Wars, Wizard of Oz references, but there were a lot more -- Terminator, Bay Watch (in fact, a Bay Watch reunion at one point) and many, many more.

I've only seen the beginning of 3 (family duty as my niece was in it). Guess I won't make time for 4.

I thought CT took a swig from his giant flask before getting in his Ubermobile and then safely drove away? If he got squished by a shark or eaten, I missed it. (Although I hope it happened.)
