    First debate is tonight.

“having defenestrated David Cameron, Theresa May and now Johnson in rapid succession.”

Now they are just having a go with it.

Ballots have started to go out and it's looking like Truss in a landslide going by recent polling. (Poll by Yougov whose founder is an MP and hates Sunek. I still believe it.)

60% of Tory members prefer Liz Truss for next PM

That would not be great for Northern Ireland.

Leaving this without comment except that the port of Dover says hello.

Liz Truss Says She Converted To Brexit Because 'Disruption Didn’t Happen'
[quote] Earlier this week, Jacob Rees-Mogg, the minister for Brexit opportunities, struggled to explain which services in the UK were running effectively.

When TalkTV host Julia Hartley-Brewer asked: “What’s actually working in Britain today?”

He replied: “Our test cricketers didn’t do too badly against New Zealand, so test matches are going reasonably well.”[\quote]

She won comfortably but it was a lot closer than I was expecting. She got 57% of the vote.

You have to wait 'til the 5-minute mark to get your truss jokes:

Tend to wind up on a shelf in someone's laboratory.

He carefully removed Albert Einstein’s brain, weighed it, dissected it, and placed it in several jars. Afterward, he put it safely in the basement of his house.

Not even 200,000 people choosing the PM. It was less than 142,000 and the margin was just over 21,000.

Less of Pie's sardonic wit in that one and more a middle finger salute to Conservative Party rule.

Sorry to come late to this discussion. Or rather I should apologize for being old enough to remember this ad:
