I got the Hawks.
Whoever takes Boston better be on line CONSTANTLY because they pick every third pick or something like that.
Your friendly DBR Mock Draft Commish here. SIGNUP TIME IS UPON US!!
Here are the rules:
Post in this thread with the name of the team you want to "GM." No trading of picks or players is allowed, your job is just to draft, not reshape your entire roster. Once the mock draft starts, you will be expected to make your pick in a timely fashion. That means you have 6 hours to make a pick between the hours of 8am and 8pm ET (5am and 5pm PT). The clock will stop outside of those hours. On weekends, the clock time is doubled to 12 hours. You are obviously encouraged to pick faster than that, but if you fail to make your pick in your clock window, one of the commissioners will make it for you... and you don't want that!
DO NOT SIGN UP IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE LATE AND LAZY WITH YOUR PICKS!! Am I clear about that? If you keep us waiting and cause this process to lock up, the community will heap as much negative rep upon you as we can.
For the next 4 days the first poster to claim a team will get that team. If we have not filled up the roster of GMs by Monday at midnight, I will open it up to allow folks to claim a 2nd or even 3rd team to GM... but I hope we will not have to do that. For now, sign up for one team. It should be a team you know fairly well so you can comment on the pick and why you made it as well as explain how it fits into your team's roster and future plans. We will pick both the first and second rounds of the draft (I hope).
OUR MOCK DRAFT WILL START AS SOON AS WE HAVE ALL THE GM SPOTS FILLED!! I expect we will begin on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week, if not sooner. The NBA Draft is scheduled for Thursday June 23rd. We WILL GET OUR MOCK DONE before the NBA draft has begun! So long as we don't have a lot of lazy folks slow to get in picks, we should make it without too much trouble.
Here is the draft order. I will update this list as people pick teams so you can always look and see which teams are available to claim:

The real New Orleans Pelicans will probably trade their lottery pick, because that's what they do, so I'm already ahead by mock-drafting for them.

Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfils the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things. - Winston Churchill
