    Thornton

The team is having a terrific game to the half, but Thornton is making a lot of mistakes and is not finishing well at the basket. He has the quickness and handle so I certainly hope the experience will allow his game to grow from where it is now.

At Cameron. They introduced someone famous who was "taking a well deserved day off". Couldn't tell who it was. Anyone know?

The good: Ingram is looking every bit like a high lottery pick

The bad: Thorton seems to be having one of his "have to remember this kid should still be playing high school right now" halves

Unexpected #1: These guys just beat UVA? What??

Unexpected, but shouldn't be because it's been happening for a while: Is there a big man better at utilizing the space between the backboard and the end line than Plumlee? He moves so well back there and seems to be getting multiple dunks a game from being open there and jumping back up to the rim from being almost out of bounds. It's awesome.

Grant Hill is there. They showed him earlier. Not sure that is who, but I'm watching on the laptop with the sound off, so that's my only guess. Any Panthers there enjoying their playoff bye, maybe?

I learned this week that Riverboat Ron and I share a birthday.

    Maybe someone got him tickets?

Time for Thornton to think about his game from the bench.

Why the criticism of Thornton? The kid had six assists in the first half alone. Everything else will come, sooner rather than later. He's doing what he's supposed to be doing - distributing the ball effectively.

Agreed – and I'd rather him play through it when we have a comfortable 20+ point lead than against UNC, Virginia, or Miami.

Geez, why can't Grayson learn to shoot free throws like Marshall.
