News website?

Has anyone got a good recommendation on a news website. At the moment I use two. Bbc.com and CNN. I just can't stand the CNN site anymore for several reasons. I just want a website where I can go and read the main events of the day...nice and simple...

I dropped CNN.com after the last site redesign; I had been a daily reader for many, many years. Their layout is just beyond awful. Currently, I'm using MSN.com. They pull content from numerous other sources, and I'm somewhat happy with them.

I've been using Google News for some time. You can personalize it to sweep your areas of interest.

It's pretty good in overriding subscription site gateways, but not infallible.

I read the WaPost (print and computer - I live in the area) and AP News (generally on my phone). The ios AP app has a clean, straightforward interface where I can choose the types of news I want, and I can pull local AP feeds from out of the DC area (WRAL is an AP member, for instance).
