Right on! I don't think that the home of the Cameron Crazies can be so thin-skinned about such things. Some actions/words should be off-limits, but not very many. And the Stanford Band has been punished in perpetuity, as they caused Stanford to lose the Big Game (ie, to Cal) some years ago. No Stanford alum will ever forgive them for that. (For those who don't recall, the Stanford Band ran onto the field before the game officially ended, allowing Cal to thread their way through the band (like 100 blockers on the field) to score a touchdown).

It's not like they're having sax on the field, even though they're insanely horny.

Noted, but off key, as usual.

I would like to trumpet the success of these posters and their puns. They do march to their own drum.

With all due respect, no. Have you never seen or heard Southern?

Don't fret, there really are a number of great bands. Southern for sure.

Thank you. The first time in 2016 I've had tears come to my eyes from laughter.

All these off beat puns should get someone in treble.
Q "Why do you like Duke, you didn't even go there." A "Because my art school didn't have a basketball team."

Remember that when it comes to a music program - Stanford sucks. It's true, you can look it up. You don't go to Stanford to study music. Well, you don't go to Stanford to study music if you're seriously interested in music. Stanford also does not give any music scholarships. (Stanford doesn't give any merit scholarships unless you count athletic scholarships as merit based.) Anyone truly talented musically is not very likely to go to Stanford. Truly talented musicians who have the grades to get into Stanford probably go Ivy. Truly talented musicians who have the grades to get into Stanford but want to take music seriously can get scholarships to much, much better music programs elsewhere. Truly talented musicians who don't have the grades to get into Stanford won't get in on music ability alone. One might consider it amazing that Stanford has a band at all. When one considers that music has almost nothing to do with what the Stanford band is trying to accomplish, it's easier to understand - it's not a music organization, it's a comedy club. We should probably start judging them by that standard. So - are they funny or not? Who wants a bunch of mediocre at best "musicians" trying (and failing) to be funny?
