    Ummm, no.

    To your first question, yes.

And seeing what we did to Army earlier this year, maybe playing in the Military Bowl would have been a better matchup.

Both sides' helmets are great and have a story.

This is a game that you wish BOTH teams could win (not being a vet myself).

I served 30 years and 26 days on active duty in the Navy so I have ZERO desire to see army win. Go NAVY!

Understood, Bob. As a civilian all my life I just appreciate all these young men who are about to serve us all...no personal, visceral ties to either side. (Although my dad served in the Army in WWI - the Pacific front)

I can't claim the same length of service, but the is no desire to see Navy win in my household. 8 years in the Army for me, 24 for my father and 8 for my mother.

Exciting game. Congrats to Navy, but Army played hard and could have won if they didn't have the turnovers in Q4. I wish all of the players (and of course the students) great health and safety...and thank them for their service to the US

    Fun story about Army-Navy mascots.

I seem to recall related high jinks from members of this board and a certain ram...

Attending an Army Navy game is on my bucket list. My grandfather was in the Army Ambulance corps in WWI but my dad and brother were Navy and nephew Sam is awaiting his commissioning so I pull for Navy.
    And those helmets were sweet.

These also got nicer uniforms for normal use. But have you ever seen them try and march?

I was lucky enough to attend a game in my youth. I didn't know I had crossed it off my list so early.

In person, I've only seen a graduation run and marching into OCS graduation. They did pretty well but, since Nephew Sam was one of them, I might be a bit biased. :-D

Not a lot of need for marching when you are on a ship in the middle of an ocean.

Bob - saw a funny tweet this week that said, in effect, "Why is the Army/Navy game always played on land? Seems to be a bit unfair, don't you think?"
    "There can BE only one."

I'd bet Navy hasn't complained about that for the last 14 years...

    Good point.

Basketball on a carrier is for wimps. FOOTBALL on a carrier, well -- that takes a special kind of tough.

I don't have a dog in the Army vs. Navy fight, but I caught a bit of ESPN College Gameday on Saturday, and the best sign I saw said: "The Last Time Army Won This Game, I Was 4."
