Back... 35 years ago, my dad worked in a very straight-laced insurance office. This is deep in the heart of Tar Heel country, and before NCAA licensed everything under the sun.

After particularly satisfying Duke basketball wins, he would wear his tie with a smiley face on it. Very noticeable in an office of blues and reds.

After a few basketball seasons, everyone learned NOT to ask why he was wearing the tie.
