So I'm browsing this morning and came across this headline to an article:
"Severe weather could push SpongeBob SquarePants 400 to Sunday"
Who are they trying to market this race to? 4 to 10 year olds? Admittedly I am not a huge NASCAR fan but this just seems weird to me.
"The future ain't what it used to be."
Who looks like a pineapple under the sea? To-ny Stew-art!
That's all I got. Someone who knows more than I about NASCAR and Nickelodeon thinks it makes total sense.
I think NASCAR is the perfect series and Kansas Speedway the perfect place to host the SpongeBob SquarePants 400.
They have as many characters, storylines and implausible incidents there over the years as a decade of SpongeBob episodes.
So which characters might match up with Sprint Cup's cast?
You should see the paint schemes for some of the cars. You'll have a good laugh.

My personal favorite is Squidward. His face is plastered on the hood!
I'm bummed there's no Mr. Crabs and Pearl with money flying all around. Too honest?
