    Alternatives to the Super Bowl

As one of the 132 million Americans who had no interest in watching the Super Bowl, I'm always on the lookout for alternatives on Super Bowl Sunday.

The SyFy Network took care of most of the first half with the cheesy original movie "The Earth vs. the Asteroids" -- it was no Sharknado, but not bad.

Unfortunately, the next thing on was "Abraham Lincoln vs. the Zombies" -- too derivative of the disappointing "Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter".

So I checked out a little of the "How I Met Your Mother" marathon on WGN, but I've seen all those a half dozen times, so that didn't hold my interest.

Checked in on the Puppy Bowl, good entertainment as always ... and even looked in on The Kitten Bowl, a logical spinoff.

But what really blew my mind was "The Fish Bowl" -- you had to see it to believe it.

A masterpiece of programing. I pity those of you who wasted your evening watching that overhyped show from Arizona when you could have been watching the goldfish Goldie visit the farm.

The highlight of my day and my future Super Bowl Sunday alternative.

I wonder where I can get the DVD?

No Super Bowl for me, either, not in a long time. OlyFan, you don't do PBS? No Downton Abbey, no Grantchester tonight?

Did Anna kill Mr. Green? We know she was in London, and the witness to Mr. Green's timely demise has testified that Mr. Green uttered the words, "What are you doing here?" The police sure think she was there.

I don't sense that this is destined to be a busy thread....

Although a once-popular alternative, the Lingerie Bowl just turned into a series of busts.

That's not very uplifting to hear.

I Wonder(ed) whether folks would or not as I Bali tried to conceal it.

Just to try to stay on topic (tough with the subject at hand), I saw none of the first half, watched the halftime show and went out for a walk for most of the second half. Yawn. I did get to see the last two minutes which were rather titillating.

True to Maidenform, something innocuous turns to puns. Can't y'all just Playtex nice, for once?
"Amazing what a minute can do."

Given the direction this thread is trending, I'll be brief:

Superbowl Sunday evening is a great time to work out, the gym is empty. Nature conspired to have me outside for my workout, shoveling snow. At night, but not in a nighty.

^^ I'm a boxer at the gym, but I'm home so I'll be brief:

Stop stocking me, folks. I know that my cups runners over. But girdle your loins and get ready. I have a codpiece and I'm not afraid to use it!

    (Self-ban coming again soon in 5, r, 3 . . . .)
