What did you get for Christmas?

It was a bonanza for Bob this morning. I got a book (Shattered Sword: The Untold Story of the Battle of Midway) and a CD (All Things Must Pass).

Plane ticket to El Paso. The LittlePhiKaps made out like bandits, per usual. Mrs. OPK got some books and gift cards.

    Good morning.

Well, to throw my kepah into the ring, I got some electronics for Hannukah last week, including a "Blue Devil" iPad case.

Seeing them in Forest Hills (the old tennis stadium) in May! Can't believe this is their 50th year! Makes ME really feel old.

The book Unbroken, Hobbit II in 3D, and Skyfall. I'll skip the movie and read the book.

Unbroken (the book) was awesome. I may pass on the movie after the review in today's Raleigh News and Observer.

Killing Patton, Rebel Yell (Stonewall Jackson book), The Roosevelts, one year Pandora renewal, navy blue crew sweater, garage shelving and installation and a few stocking stuffers. Most of the family (4 generations represented) here for Christmas-the best gift of all.

What was so cool about this was the age range with the youngest being our (first and only) grandson at age 11.5 months to my father-in-law at age 91 years, 3 months. Amazing. We are blessed.

    Awesome, man. Congrats.

We only covered age 6 to 75 in our 3 generation Christmas. There's no one left from the next one ahead in our family.

I got a David Yellowhorse knife, some woodworking tools (mostly for pinewood derby cars), a Shun gentleman's steak knife, a portable wooden shooter's chest, and some odds and ends.

As others have said, getting the family together is the best part.

We don't exchange many gifts as we opt to makes gifts to charities amongst the siblings. Received some wine, a pair of earrings, Clemson Christmas ornament, foil cutter, herb scissors, and some lotions. Best gift was time with family and the annual Christmas day croquet game. Wish more family could have been here.
