The LouisCK episode featuring her during the 2013 season was magnificent.
With all respect and admiration for her ground breaking career, Joan Rivers was one hell of a funny broad.
And I say that as a fellow broad.
Godspeed Joan Rivers!
I was saddened to receive a text earlier today that Joan Rivers had passed away at age 81. Prayers to her daughter, Melissa, and grandson, Cooper, her Family, friends, and all the beloved Fans.
RIP Ms Rivers

Nothing incites bodily violence quicker than a Duke fan turning in your direction and saying 'scoreboard.'
May light perpetual shine upon her, and in the mercy of God may she rest in peace.
Such a loss. A pioneer for women, and an incredibly funny and honest person to boot. One of my all time favorites. Man... Hate this
I had forgotten how funny and brash she was. Over the weekend I heard the Fresh Air tribute to her, which is here:
http://www.npr.org/2014/09/05/345945...eed-me-totally
and it recaps 3 (I think) separate interviews Terry Gross did with her. An amazing live show clip (in which she deals with an audience member who shouts his disapproval to her regarding one of her jokes) begins at 6:45 and continues for 1 minute. She was amazingly quick and sharp with her reply! The context for it starts around 5:30. Language is partially bleeped, partially still NSFW. Anyway, through the tributes, I look back and remember, she was really quite a talent.
