    UK, UNC Bahamas August

This is a brand new approach to college teams on foreign trips. Big plus for all, but should really help UK, which has lots of guys competing for minutes, and need to get new guys acquainted with returnees and system. Heels will presumably benefit, too.

Especially if they have a new coach by then.

Don't think this is much of a story.

Everybody is allowed to make an off-season foreign trip once every four years. UNC last went to the Bahamas in the summer of 2010. If you remember, Duke went to China in the summer of 2011.

It is good preparation and team building.

The linked ESPN story merely notes the large number of teams going to the Bahamas this summer, including UNC and Kentucky. So what? they are not going to play each other -- they will play many of the same crappy local teams in exhibitions. You can actually fund better competition in Europe. I think the fact that so many teams are going over there has more to do with the tourism board of the Bahamas, which is probably offering the visiting teams sweat deals to lure them -- and their fans -- over.

BTW: Duke will be making another summer trip next year (2015). Where will we go?
