Probate lawyer

Is there anyone here that has experience as a probate lawyer, or experience with the process? I have a couple questions.

Probate law is very state-specific. Not sure what county the deceased lived in, but look for an A-V rated lawyer from Martindale-Hubbell if possible. Those ratings are more reliable, generally, than Avvo or (worst yet) general search engine lists that may be "pay to be listed" sites.

I'd also look into your state bar association and see who sits on the section committe relating to probate and related matters. That may also be somewhat helpful. But neither that nor M-H is a guarentee that you are going to be happy with the services provided. (Or worse still: you may not be unappy but only because you don't realize that you should be!)
