Good lord...what happens if somebody like LeBron starts wearing one? He's got a massive dome and that's a huge hat to begin with. I mean you could house a family in that sized hat!

I can't believe that this hat is still newsworthy. Pharrell Williams is auctioning off his Grammy hat on eBay for charity. It's called a "Mountain" hat and was designed by Vivienne Westwood. Bidding opened at $200 yesterday and quickly moved to the current bid of $10,500. Will it go higher? Hard to say. I don't know any Due South fans who are that crazy and have that much disposable cash.

Two bits of hard-hitting news that I hope will close the story on Pharrell's hat.

First, the Arby's Restaurant Group purchased the brown Grammys hat with a $44,100 bid in the previously mentioned eBay charity auction. It's all part of their new slogan, "If you can't find something to eat at Arby's, we'll eat our hat."

Second, the hat made two appearances on Sunday night's Academy Awards telecast. Pharrell wore a similar black hat in his performance, and another brown hat was a prop Ellen DeGeneres used for collecting tips in her pizza delivery gag.



That's one heck of a winter for a hat, maybe the best since the Battle of the Alamo. But I predict we won't hear much more about Pharrell's hat until it runs for President in 2016.

Pharrell's Hat has decided to go green for spring. He brought it to the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.

Seems like he could have saved it for the Masters next month, assuming Augusta National would continue their fine tradition of warmly welcoming outsiders.
