Smile Help needed FYI, BFF, IMHO, etc.

    Dear DBR friends,

One of the things I do is coach kids and teens for auditions. Most of stuff out there sucks, so I usually write for them, depending on the role.

I have compiled about 40 of such, and am compiling a book of "One hundred Audition Monologues for Kids and Teens." So I need your help.

For those of you who have kids, or are more computer savvy than me -- what are the latest 'catch phrases' or text messaging short cuts??

For example there is a sketch where the Mom overhears a phone conversation that makes her crazy. In my day she would go ballistic, have a cow, http://www.dukebasketballreport.comh...ballreport.com a brick, have a conniption, etc. What would be the current phrase??

Again that is just one example, so......give me some feedback.

I appreciate all responses. Gratefully, dukemomLA

I'm pretty sure that could go either way, e.g. "man that s*** is whack" could mean either good or bad depending on the context

    Omgwtfbbq?!?!?!

My favorite geek one that I've started seeing a bit in the past year is OMGWTFBBQ, which I guess means the topic of discussion is so amazing and bizarre that you should chuck BBQ on the end just for good measure. It's also a bit of tongue-in-cheek parody of the whole acronym thing. Love it.

    Smile Thanks

Can't thank you DBR folk for your replies!! I love this website. It's the only one that I ever post anything on. (Being on the Left Coast has its disadvantages -- since I seem to post at midnight or later after work and when everything else is done.

Again, my thanks, and hope for more posts since I enjoy them so -- and can use them in my work.
