Jeff Van Gundy -- forget coaching, take over for Dickie V

It will never happen. Too bad, because he's got energy, humor, and actually knows what he's talking about. I don't always agree with his outlandish statements, but they're always fun to think about. The perfect color man in my opinion.

Jeff Van Gundy...is driving me nuts

I agree that he has some knowledge of basketball, but his outlandish statement are too much for me. In addition, he still seems to be in coaching mode--questioning far too many calls on the court, rather than just talking about the teams, players, etc. I enjoy the announcers who generally avoid making decisive statements about the officiating--it's really not something I need someone else's opinion on, since I probably have one already just based on watching.

Nevertheless, I'd take him over Vitale in a heartbeat. I only wish Vitale could return to the days when he was a cogent, thoughtful announcer...before he became a unfortunate caricature of himself.
