For those of you in DC, I've already indicated where the American Outlaws (one of the USMNT supporter groups) will be having watch parties at Molly Malone's in Eastern Market. There is also the viewing in Dupont Circle that will be going down Saturday as well, which should be very exciting. I will be at Molly's hopefully starting about 8am that day. I also will be watching the opening match Friday at Murphy's Law, which is just off the Tenleytown stop. If you guys want more info about the DC parties, feel free to let me know. For everyone else, check out the American Outlaws to find a watch party near you...I guarantee you will have a great time there!

Add Nani to the list of the injured and out. Drogba apparently still has not been ruled out of the World Cup, so we will see on him. Robben is also not ruled out completely after suffering a hamstring tear in their final warmup.
Arjen Robben is most probably out for the Netherlands' first game: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/world-c...cc=5901&ver=us
Interesting scratches for the US v Eng game:
ENG:
Barry(MF)
Ferdinand(D)
Milner(MF)
David James(G)
Wright-Phillips (possibly)(MF)
US:
As of right now none. Jozey praticed in full
Gooch may or may not start. that is still up in the air
So, when I watch the game at the pub here in Austin on Saturday, is it wrong that I'll be playing "America, #%$ Yeah!" on my iPhone at high volume as the game begins and if we happen to score? And over and over if we win?
That truly is the national sports anthem of the 21st century for 20-30 something man-boys. Waiting for it to filter down to the Stanford or Rice band.

very good news indeed!
I just made my picks at this site http://www.wcpool.com There is no charge to make your picks and you can print off your results. If you are not in a pool yet and want to make some picks, I suggest you head over. I found out about the site as my soccer team is using this as a fundraiser. After filling out my bracket, I ended up with Spain and Netherlands in the final, with Spain taking it. I had 3 African teams advancing to the second round. Should be a fun month, beginning in less than 24 hours. Enjoy!
After a couple days of toiling around for the perfect tracks, I have come up with the perfect mix. Here it goes:
1. K'naan - Wavin Flag
2. Juelz Santana - The Second Coming
3. Team America World Police Theme Song (You know which one I'm talkin about)
4. Deuce - Don't Tread
5. Gnarls Barkley - Going On
6. George Clinton - Stomp
7. Overtone - Shosholoza (from Invictus)
8. Shakira - Waka Waka
9. Fabolous - It's My Time
10. Eminem - Till I Collapse
11. Jimi Hendrix - Star Spangled Banner (from Woodstock)
12. Bruce Springsteen - Born In The USA
13. James Brown - Living In America
14. The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army (intro music at Euro 2008)
15. Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger
16. The Fratellis - Chelsea Dagger (the song from the Amstel Light commercial - huge in European stadiums)
17. Eminem - Not Afraid
18. Scooter - Maria (I Like It Loud) (the Doop Doop Doop song for all my Philly guys - also huge in Europe)
19. Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
20. Blur - Song 2
21. Bellini - Samba de Janeiro (Euro 2008 Goal Song)
22. Rivers Cuomo - My Day Is Coming
23. Al Pacino - Peace With Inches (Speech from "Any Given Sunday")
23 tracks to get you hype for the World Cup...enjoy!
Thanks for link. I was kinda a homer and had the US beating Germany to make it to the quarter finals, then losing to Argentina. I also had Spain and the Netherlands in the Final, but took the Dutch to win it all. Definitely very excited for tomorrow, cant wait to get this thing started.
Yea, it's great. Em always gets me fired up. I'm not into Scooter, just that one song (it's all I heard in Philly the weekend of the U.S.-Turkey match). Weezer just made a song for the U.S. team for this World Cup and it debuts tomorrow. That will be added to the list!
Quick Drogba update, he's back at training, but the team is still unsure of whether he'll be ready for the first game: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/world-c...cc=5901&ver=us
First game's not till Tuesday. That would be huge for Cote d'Ivoire if Drogba could play.
