Question Jason Williams - PS2 video game "cover athlete".

Does anyone remember what video game Jason Williams was on the cover of (for Playstation 2)? I believe it was an EA Sports game, but I'm not certain. He was wearing his Duke jersey (just like Shane in "NCAA March Madness 2002" and JJ in "College Hoops 2K7"), but that's about all I can remember. Thanks!

He was on the cover of NCAA 2k3 College Basketball by Sega Sports. I remember playing this game on the PS2. It was pretty good actually. I always thought the 2k series was a little bit better than the EA Sports counterparts.

The best picture I could find is from the XBox cover. Here are some of the other games that had Dukies on the cover, as well.

Also, Trajan was on the cover of NCAA Final Four 2000 by 989 Sports.

i actually still have that game. It was very good. The Battier game was TERRIBLE. It didnt have the option to play a season, only a tournament. Just horrible.

The Coach K Game might be the best col. bball game ever though.

I have the 360 game with Redick on the front, but every time I play it, Duke loses so I've shelved it until the season is over.

Is there a curse to being on the cover for these games? I guess Shane's career might kill the theory but JJ hasn't got much of a chance. The Coach K game must have been 10+ years ago, right?

According to what I saw on Amazon.com, the game came out in 1995. It appears to be a clone of the NBA 95 game that EA Sports put out. I do remember playing it on the Sega Genesis many years ago. It was pretty good for its time.

As for any curse, I haven't heard of one, but it sure seems like there could be one. Here are all the games that I could find pictures of for now:

Steve Francis Career 18.5 ppg, 6.2 apg, and 5.7 rpg. One of the exceptions to the rule
Kenyon Martin Career 14.8 ppg, 7.4 rpg. Not awesome but definitely not a bust
Joe Forte Career 1.2 ppg, .7 apg and .7 rpg. Huge bust. May be in the NBDL now
Drew Gooden Career 12 ppg, 7.8 rpg. Seems lower than what it should've been
Carmelo Anthony Career 23.9 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 2.9 apg. Averaging 30.4 ppg this year. Exception to the rule
Emeka Okafor Career 14.7 ppg, 11.1 rpg. Stuck on the Bobcats who are terrible
Raymond Felton Career 12.8 ppg, 6.3 apg. Also stuck on the Bobcats
Adam Morrison Rookie. Averaging 13 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 2.1 apg. Again, stuck on the Bobcats -- I think they have their own curse
Mateen Cleaves Career 3.6 ppg, 1.9 apg. Went nowhere fast. May also be in the NBDL now
Juan Dixon Career 9.3 ppg. Played for 3 teams in 5 years
Nick Collison Career 7.4 ppg and 5.9 rpg
T.J. Ford Career 11.1 ppg and 6.9 apg. He suffered a contusion of the spinal cord, a career-threatening injury in his rookie season
Josh Childress Career 10.6 ppg and 5.6 rpg. Stuck on the Hawks
Marvin Williams Career 10.0 ppg and 4.8 rpg. Also stuck on the Hawks
