    Cool Courts

Which school's court is the coolest looking?

I like Georgia Tech's with the big yellow jacket, and now watching the ND/UCON game, I think ND's court looks cool with the clover inlay.

I don't know what court it is but the bench is beneath the court, so you have to step down to get on the bench. Pretty cool.

I dont like the ones where the bench is a step down from court level.

I tend to think of other courts based on memories - Laettner's shot @ Spectrum, State's win in Albequerque - rather than appearance.

Although Little John seems like the most consistently tough place in the ACC to play and I appreciate that a lot.

I like simple, old school courts like Cameron.

I like Clemson's court though the paw is just a bit too big.

Boise State can do it in basketball too.

Their Taco Bell Arena has a great name, and a great logo inside the 3 point lines...

They have a new one since 2006, but I really liked LIU's old court. It was in an old theatre, complete with ornately carved structures and a pipe organ.

Yep. Like Cameron; like the Palestra. Gyms that ooze history and tradition.

Hate to say it, but besides Cameron I really like the court at the Nose Dome. Being a North Carolinian, I've always felt proud to see our state on that court, even though I love to see UNC lose on it! The powder blue is catchy too. Its probably the only reason that UNC sells more merch than any other school.

Really like the Boise State court after seeing that pic.

I recently attended a game at Vanderbilt. It looks cool on TV, but it is hard to see. I was also at Clemson this year the view there is quite nice. Nice shape to the seats around the court and it was very loud in the beginning, I also enjoyed the fans and they were very polite...way different than the Maryland fans...

If you take the whole arena into account, Vandy's is very interesting. I don't necessarily like it, but it's very different

Benches on the baseline. The seating looks almost like it's for a theater or opera and not a basketball game.

You know, I agree. I have to credit unc for refusing to plaster some sort of humungous sheep logo on their court after all these years. There's something to be said about restraint. Kansas ruined their court with that huge chicken.

Another state school court like unc's is Indiana's. There should be a rule that a state's primary public college should have a silhouette of the state at center court. Exceptions are possible if your court is already pleasing (Michigan) or if your state is a shape that is not obviously a state (Colorado, Wyoming).
