A Duke Fan Who Pulls For UNC

Before you throw me off the Board, let me explain.

Eve Carson's family is very close to my in-laws family and I had the pleasure of meeting Eve when she was at UNC, one teriffic young woman.

If you forgot, Eve was the student class president at UNC who was brutally murdered 2 years ago. She was an avid UNC booster and out of respect and a loving memory of her I do pull for UNC...not of course when they play Duke.

If you want to chastise me and criticize my allegience to Duke go ahead, I really do not care.

I also root for NCState's womens basketball, ( not when they play Duke), because I respect what Kay Yow meant to that school and to women's basketball overall.

Why would anyone chastise you for that? And why would you post something with that tone; almost as if you WANT someone to chastise you? Those are wonderful, real-life reasons to root for a team in something that means so much less -- basketball. And we all remember Eve Carson well, still recall the pain and tragedy of her loss and still express deep sympathy for her family.
