On-field Duke Men's LAX news

I thought about posting this on the LAX board, but I don't think this fits the nature of discussion on that board.

In any case, Alleva and Co. are petitioning the NCAA to get one more season of eligibility for the players who lost a year last year. I think they basically want to call it a redshirt year for everyone involved.

Interesting, but I don't think they get it. They already played almost half of their regular season by the time everything went down. Alleva does say that he already asked all the other schools in the ACC, and that they're okay with it.

end Q1: Duke-3 Cornell-3 not knowing much about the game of lax, I thought Danowski and Greer worked nicely with a goal added also by Crotty. Defense looked suspect (maybe too much dribble penetration? )

Loftus (goalie) has been the man of the match. They have about twice as many shots on goal...although we have had about 4 or 5 go off the post and cornell come up with the loose ball, so that is part of the reason. (normally if shots just miss all together then the team on offense gets the ball back)

late 3rd Q, now Duke-10, Cornell-3(8 straight goals after being down 2-3). We need a lead more than 9 goals(or more than 17 points-oops, wrong sport) and no delay game to play on Memorial Day. Go Devils!
