MBB & WBB NCAA Champs in same year

Has any school won both the men's and women's championship the same year?

There is a possibility that UCONN could do it again this year. Their women's team looks head and shoulders above any other team, and their men's team , who knows ?

Oklahoma's chances are pretty good this year too.

I write about this every year. Connecticut is the only school to win both titles the same season. Duke made both championship games in 1999. Here are the Division I teams that double dipped the Final Four:

    1983: Georgia
    1999: Duke
    2002: Oklahoma
    2003: Texas
    2004: Connecticut
    2005: Michigan State
    2006: LSU

This year, like recent years, is fairly typical in having the same schools in both polls. Connecticut, Oklahoma, UNC, Louisville, and Duke look doubly good. You could also make an argument for Baylor, Pittsburgh, Xavier, Notre Dame, Texas, and Ohio State.
