So... who was your favorite Golden Gal?
    Your favorite episode?
    Your favorite Sophia moment?

I never really liked that show.

    I'm glad she's dead.

Obviously kidding. Those "girls" were cool. Never considered a three-way though!

Out of curiousity, I watched Password a few weeks ago to see how Betty White would do. I have to admit, I was afraid for her, that she would embarrass herself and be forever relegated to hawking pet medicines on tv. But, she kicked butt! Razor sharp during the game, and was funny as hell!

Since hearing this news yesterday, I've had that god-forsaken earworm of a theme song stuck in my head.

You would see, the biggest gift would be from me,
And the card attached would say, "Thank you for being a friend."

To all who are newly earwormed, you're welcome.

I actually had that song stuck in my head a few days ago because my little boy's birthday is coming up and so I was singing absent-mindedly to him as he was playing with seasoning packets on the floor, "If you threw a paaarty/invited everyone you knew/ you would see! The biggest gift would be from me!"...

Then I thought about the Golden Girls and wondered why each and every TV show these days seems to focus on 20-and-30 somethings, and never on what happens to your life after that point. The show was awful, but it did at least have that in its favor.

Thank you for being my DBR friend, billybreen.

    Gimme a break,
    Gimme a break,
Break me off a piece of that KIT KAT BAR!

    Cheers,

She's a great comedian and has one of the best laughs. Glad to hear she's still razor sharp.

I loved Golden Girls. Sometimes they were a little over the top, but I loved some of the lines they had. There is a little of each one of them living in all of us, well maybe not Blanche in me. I loved Rose's naivety, probably because I can be naive at times, I loved that Dorothy was smart, probably because I am (well in my mind I am), and I loved Sophia's "I'm old and can say anything I want" attitude, I haven't reached that point in my life yet.

Sophia will live on on the small screen and in our hearts.
