Well, now I am thinking I should have said I wasn't referring to you, but no one would have believed that.

Good little game.
Hah. He missed the first.
Those are going to stick with him. Missed them both.
Ohhhhhhhhhh. Shot of the tournament?
Amazing!
Well poop.
It's always tough to think of low-seeded big name as an underdog but it's still a fun game.
Yes. But OPK and I have daughters at Bama. So a bit of a rooting interest.
Baseball (and Bowling) are the only standouts from my other alma mater. They have some other sports that they are very competitive within the SEC, but the big money sports are a sinkhole to say the least.
I fall to pieces...
It’s pretty amazing doing a video call with someone in China with no lag. Advanced technology is magic as far as I’m concerned.
I believe I have had this conversation on DBR before, but here is the one I have:

I also have one that may have been homemade locally. A lot of blue and purple paint splatters with Bill coming in from the side. Pretty loud, but it was a gift.
^ that's it! Ack! Pffft!
crispy corned beef hash with a runny egg on top, perfect for a 30 degree, snowy windy day! Plus I scraped the crust off my desktop...(didn't eat it)
My wife and I wryly (but happily) note that our Covid day consists of three major segments: 1) morning: read paper, sip coffee, discuss the evening menu, go for a two hour walk. 2) read all afternoon and perform household chores. 3) cocktail hour, eat aforementioned meal, watch evening news and some other Netflix type TV. Yeah, it's taken on an oversized role in our lives, but it's our way of coping with current realities.
FWIW, I do not believe. Or do I?
UFO & ET - Do you believe?
Yes, I believe Budwom.
No state has worse monikers for their 2 major state universities than the state of Oregon.

I'm not a Camaro guy, but I'd definitely like to own this one.
I have described myself as a sensible car guy, but the only car that makes me question that is a dark grey or black 700 series BMW. That is my dream car.
Starting leg two. Hopefully baby sleeps.
This right here is what does it for me. This is my main (non-Muppet) man.

I hate seeing thin flight attendants when I board a plane. Means they will keep the temperature too warm and I will sweat.
Coffee break. Tired. Nap time at lunch.
I opened up a container of yogurt, and under the lid it said Please Try Again because they were having a contest I was
unaware of. But I though I might have opened the yogurt wrong...or maybe Yoplait was trying to inspire me, 'c'mon, Mitchell, don't give up. Please try again.
A message of inspiration from your friends at Yoplait. Fruit on the bottom, hope on top. --Mitch Hedberg
Holly The Lab kicks off the 2021 pond swimming season with some stout paddling this morning, 33 degree water, ice on the edges, all kinds of canine fun.
Phew. Made it to the coast! Glad to be out of that car. New, bigger car is going to be a necessity when number 2 arrives.
I have done push ups in three states. Four if you count the state of confusion.
I have been to 40 states.
I have found Geocaches in 14 states and one foreign country. Been to 34 states total.
There is Randy Moss in West Virginia.
No, just off it. The community my parents are in backs up to the other side of the marsh that’s on the back side of the island.
For 15 years we rented a house on the island for family 4th of July weeks. Usually on the south end. Nice place though they’ve made a bit of national news the past year-ish.
On one of the mission trips, we played hacky sack in 4 states - at the same time.Attachment 12836
Nice. My parents owned and operated a store in the Island Shoppes for several years as a retirement business. Step dad works on one of te courses to keep himself busy and get free golf on a second course now.
Nice area. It’s grown a lot. 17 is a mad house. Some sneaky good local restaurants
Most likely - if not that trip, then the one before it. I was in charge of taking the picture. Some of the other folks standing in line took pictures of the group as well.
Somehow, we didn't get Bob the Sheep in the picture. He may have stayed back at our lodging facility. I should discuss this with is caregivers.
Oh, yeah! Great crab cakes. We always do the crab pimento cheese dip, too. Same waitress who wears flip flops no matter the weather has been working there since we’ve been going.
It gets pretty rowdy at night. If you haven’t been in a bit, there’s a barrier up now between the Island Shoppes and the PIT parking lot because too many patrons were fornicating and what not in the Shoppes public bathrooms.
On the nice end, we like Perrone’s and Bistro 217. Landolfi’s is great but never open. My grandma loves Hog Heaven and we’ve had some fun nights at their outside bar. My parents have been taking us down to Georgetown lately for a few things but can’t remember the names now.
We go down there for the seafood market, too.

That is 6 lbs worth. I also ate 2 sausages, the corn and pork skins. I should be embarrassed.
Guten morgen
I'm sure I've had them but no stories.

On my morning walk. I am definitely too old to do this everytime I see an 8 foot goal and also too immature to pass it up.
A thread on the EK board has had The Beatles going through my head, so:
It was 30 years ago today
Mike Krzyzyewski brought the team to play
Came to Indy looking for a trial
Topped the Rebels, gave us all a smile
So may I introduce to you
The team you've loved for all these years
Mike Krzyzewski's Awesome Brotherhood
Sorry.

I think those 91-92 teams have to be in the conversation for greatest of all time. I think Laettner is a top 10 college player ever and I think Hurley is a top 5 point guard ever and Grant Hill might be a top 25 player all time.
rampaged thru Costco today where I was a cereal killer.
Green Jello has a song for that. It isn't very good, but they have a song for that.

The hubby and I got engaged on April 1st, 1991, the night Duke won it all for the first time. He didn't ask me to marry him, he just told everyone at the watch party that we were going to celebrate Duke's win by getting married. He was across the room from me at the time. Friends thought it was a April Fool's joke. One of them called across the room asking me if we were really getting married or if it was an April Fool's joke. Me: I don't know, Honey, is that an April Fool's joke? Hubby: No. Me: I guess we're getting married.
I believe I've posted that story before but I maintain it's one of the least romantic marriage proposals ever. But effective. We have a poster autographed by the entire '91 team congratulating us. It is not for sale.
Today marks nine years since my wife and I got engaged. It was the first weekend of my first spring break as a teacher, and we had planned a special weekend of staycation activities in and around Atlanta. I showed up at her door on Saturday morning to pick her up for brunch and surprised her in my tuxedo with an expensive rock to give her. I'm still quite pleased with our series of decisions.
Spring today, 62 and sunny, Winter tomorrow, 6-10 inches of snow.
Shocked, I tell ya! I'm shocked!
Thunder storm rolling in. Lovely.
We need more rain here.
Scrambled eggs!
Summer starts Tuesday.
Billy!!!

This is intriguing.
when neighbors give us eggs, we notice how much yellower the yolks are vs the store bought variety...glaring difference...
The projects are graded, the children have left for math, and it's sunny, breezy and quiet in my classroom, where my couches have even returned in one more incremental step back toward normalcy.
Slowly eeeeeasing into that island state of mind. This time tomorrow, I'll be pointed southward, and holy moly, I can't wait.
On one of the pre-pandemic visits to Burlington, I took Paddies out for brunch at a diner (we love eating at diners). He ordered a breakfast combo plate that came with scrambled eggs and pancakes. When I asked him how he liked his food he replied that it was good but the eggs were nowhere near as good as the ones I make.
Those are the moments that make parenting worthwhile. ;)
We love Henry's! We were at another diner when Paddies told me my eggs were better.
I decided at one point, probably 20 years ago, that I wanted to master scrambled eggs and I worked at it until they became something easy for me to make AND something that I rarely mess up. Mission accomplished. Wilson might even like my eggs because they are fluffy and I take them off the heat just before they are "done" so they retain a lot of fluffiness without being dry. I wouldn't say runny, but definitely still moist.
So my brother emailed me earlier telling me he met Crazy Towel Guy at the grocery store this morning. Sent me a selfie. I'm not sure, but it looks like he was wearing his towel over his shoulder even in the store. Turns out he graduated from Duke with our dad in '63.
Almost at 38k posts.
I'm obviously not a UNC fan but I always hate to see good villains go. I (still) miss Gary Williams for the same reasons. Especially now that players don't last long enough to become these larger than life villains, the coaches - and their eccentricities - is one of the things that still makes the game fun.
I like my scra, bled eggs drive but like my Ramen with egg wet.
A couple of my embarrassing tech stories feel relevant today...
...but I guess if you're not embarrassed they're not embarrassing tech stories.
Mmmmmm. Viet-Cajun.
It's going to happen even I have to start talking hummingbirds again.
Shrimp don't have claws, just a big ol' booty for snacking.
What do you think a sentient shrimp would think of Endless Shrimp Monday's at Red Lobster?
Canceled Netflix and This Old House. Disney+ made the cut for now. Local paper raised their price again. Sadly, they will likely get the boot too.
Must've forgotten the deodorant again.
Lafayette, LA has delicious food
Univ of Louisiana-Lafayette is the Ragin' Cajuns.
Very close to 38,000. It took us 10 years to get to 20,000. We'll get the next 20,000 in under 4.
Actually not quite 10 years, but close.
