Nope, sorry but as a person who goes by the title "Stain-Remover Master of the Universe," I am unimpressed with the new washing machines we see around us today.
Feet firmly planted in front of the old Maytag with the dials that is still working away and doing just fine.
Good luck with that rumpled item Ymo.
I got my current washer and dryer about 11 years ago, so I'm not in hallowed ground but not super new either. The washer had one function that I only started using 6 months ago, automatic detergent dispensing. The steam refresh is on the dryer, and I'm giving it a shot right now.
I really wanted to get down for a Pelicans game but none of the dates in the fall worked for me and travel during January - April really doesn't work. Hopefully, Pelicans will remain Duke South for next season - I plan on sitting behind the visitors bench in a Duke shirt.
Heating up fish in the office is a dangerous game.
Had to turn down two free tickets to the game at Wake tomorrow...4 rows behind the Wake bench.
Roast me.
I have one standing rule. If ever offered an item to freshen your breath, you cannot turn it down. The person opposite has better intelligence/information than you.
Should have burned down my brush pile a lot of brush ago. If I go for it now, might singe the goats next door.
Hand down, man down???
Not available out here in the boonies. Husband-of-weezie gets very excited when it's time to ignite the burn pile. Maybe twice a year but it's a big deal to him. He rides around the pile on his tractor pushing it all in as it deflates. Usually an all-nighter type thing.
We have to alert the fire department when we're scheduling a burn but we're seven miles out of town. Country living.
I may have overdone the hot peppers and sauce in this phó. Good morning!
Aaaargh. A wet, gray day, taxes half done, headache, mean-spirited and tomorrow Lent begins with a farewell to alcohol and the desire to do something productive and beneficial towards others.
It's not looking too cheery in this casa. Feeling a good grumble and mutter coming on.
Puns may be met with a very cold, hard stare.
I'm "neighbors with an Amish farm" rural. Our trash pick-up service does have designated weeks for certain yard waste but my lot produces a lot more than they can handle. While I'm not at tractor levels like the weezies, I can produce some pretty large piles. I'll have chipper services come out for the big dead trees that I can't drop myself and we compost all our leafy matter and garden stuff (And kitchen/paper scraps) but sometimes ya just got burn a pile. My lot has enough trees and heavy brush on it that I've thought about investing in my own chipper but my wife is uncomfortable with the number of times I've seen Fargo.
Same here, and that thread has re-inspired me along those lines.
Finally broke down and ordered two from Heatonist.com -- their Los Calientes (rojo), and the Hot Thai Green from Seed Ranch (if you watch "Hot Ones," these are #5 and #6 respectively this season). Should be here this week, I am jacked. Will post reviews/results on that thread when able.
Look for me tonight 4 rows behind the Wake bench.
I'll be wearing either this shirt https://shopdukestores.duke.edu/ePOS...106&design=106 or a purple button-up if I do not have time to stop at home and change.
My mom will be wearing a Duke shirt and blue devil horns. We should be easy to spot out, given our seat loaction :)
Chippers have a bad name in our family ever since my brother-in-law bought one at the Rotary auction after not bidding/buying the KU bball tickets he was supposed to bid on for my sister. Tickets were sold before he even placed a bid. Chipper was donated back the next year and friends of theirs bought it.
Back from the Alumni Women's Weekend (spent an extra couple of days with my parents). One highlight of the weekend was Sue Gordon's talk, overall an enjoyable time and I'm seriously considering making it a habit. They only do it every other year.
I gave up beer forever* a couple months ago. Debating whether to extend it to all alcohol. Likely will.
*Forever being until I next have one. I’ve gotten comfortable sticking to soda or water in most social situations now.
She was not happy - and we remind him of it occasionally. Overall, however, he's a decent* guy.
* I am in the camp that no one is quite good enough for my sisters - they give more to the relationship than their spouses. Of course, I might be more than a little bit biased. :o
I say this with tears in my eyes. There are few things that bring me more joy in life than having been right about something in a relationship and getting regular opportunities to remind the other party about it. It's hard to describe that feeling. As Jodi Foster's character said in Contact, "they should have sent a poet".
Well, that was less than optimal...
No one wanted a Corona nor Lyme this evening at dinner.
There is a very high probability that I will be in a FOUL mood today. Woke up early, and started to TURNOVER and go back to sleep, but was afraid my nightmare would return.
Car was vandalized yesterday evening. Makes it pretty hard to care about a game.
It's annoying.
Girlfriend was babysitting for a coworker. Parked across the street from a coworker's house. Don't know for sure, but it seems the house she parked in front of did not take kindly to that. Busted out that back window and keyed the entire side.
Recently decided to become a one-car household after getting t-boned the day before New Year's. So, this is less than ideal. Getting the window fixed tomorrow. Probably will get a quote for the keying damage, but doubt I get it fixed.
Wow, luburch, that is horrible. I'm sorry!
That stinks, luburch.
In my experience, there is a brand of male that is immune to non-verbal clues. Either that or they are especially immune to MY non-verbal clues.
All verbal, all the time gets the job not actually done but I see pupils dilate and that's all I can hope for.
I've been studying the male of the species for many, many, many years. It's proven to be an endless loop.
Appreciate all the kind words.
People suck sometimes. It's a pain to deal with, but in the end no one was hurt. Life goes on.
OK, ok, ok. No non-verbal cues here. BARF!!!
Coldest night of the winter season
pardon me.
Definitely more than meets the eye...
What category of drink does a hard seltzer fit in? Asking for a friend.
Max Weber's Theory of Bureaucracy, good or bad? Please discuss.
Car window is officially fixed. Pretty painless process overall. Going to try and tackle the scratch from the key on my own.
Planned on driving this car into the ground anyway, so not overly concerned with resale value.
A Dew a day keeps the Doctor away.
Cheerwine or bust.
(Although I gave up all soda about three years ago).
I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.
Rewatching old episodes of comedies makes it a bit easier to see where they jumped the shark.
Dodgeball on EspnNews tomorrow from 11 to 2. Not the movie, real dodgeball.
No word if Cotton And Pepper are calling the matches or not.
Given what happened in the markets, I do miss Wall Street Week with Louis Rukeyser.
One of my recent purchases was a Mason’s root beer clock.

Ugh, have a cold. Everyone looks at me like I have leprosy though because of coronavirus.
Watching the news is not helping me feel better.
My neighbor hired a tree trimming service. I still have a bit more work to do on my trees.
Ugh, sometimes my pets make me mad.
I also got an AC Spark Plug clock. Picture to follow shortly.
Here it is:

Leftover kolache for "dinner" tonight. One more for breakfast tomorrow.
Has anyone tried the new pretzel Pop Tarts?
I'm sleepy, I could really use a nap.
The good thing about coming home early today: live EPL soccer. Norwich City, last in the table and facing relegation, hosted and beat third-place Leicester City 1-0 in a really fun match.
I am not good about sitting around, but hopefully the matches tomorrow will be good because I think I’ll be on a couch unfortunately.
I’m on the northwest side of town, which is about as far south as you can be to still be in Texas Hill Country.

Creepy or not, Taylor Swift covering Train's Drops of Jupiter is pretty damn good. Also listening to John Legend.
Ads have introduced me to quite a few artists as of late.
May try and do the Twisted Sisters tomorrow...

My new wheels are much better suited for such a drive compared to my Acura CUV.
My wife works for a marijuana paraphernalia company. Her coworkers are a blast.

Rogue One rewatch.
Seen it once. Loved it.
Watching it again now.
“Are you kidding me,” the blind man says as they put a hood over his head.
“I’m blind.”
I still haven’t seen RoS on the big screen. Probably too late...
Is it over?
Hmm, I guess it is Leap Day 2020.
Hmmm, it may be time for a new watch.
The interwebs are a mixed blessing when trying to attempt humor.
Does anyone play guitar as a hobby? Is it too late for me to pick it up?
The 2016 Prez. Election thread didn't hit post 7,063 until May 24th. That thread hit 16,488 posts. So, it is well ahead of that pace. 2016 was of course a leap year also, so no extra day advantage.
Has anyone purchased raw land lately?
Texas does cause me a couple issues:
1) cedar fever
2) never ending summer
But I really need more space.
Frree donuts for leap day babies! And delivered.

No fever this morning (only a slight one last night). Hunger coming back. Feel cruddy but hopefully the worst is past.
Just now, I remembered there was a song called God Bless Texas. I just looked it up on Utube. It wasn't the wholesome family song I seem to remember.
BTW, David Byrne on SNL tonight!
Danny Boy, love song between lovers or a parent's ask of their child?
So many typos. After 5-6 years of using the tablet, you would think I would be better.
I do miss the days of having a DVR.
Trying to think of a film to watch this evening. Kind of want to see RoS but it isn't available yet.
Another dismal seasin of Vandy basketball nearing the end.
Aerate and top dressing of the yard happens this week.
Realy need to get the Skylark on the road.
Need to get the front bumper back on and the exhaust finished.
Got new front wheel caps for the Trans Am. The aftermarket locking replacements don't fit.
Still have a set of honeycomb rims if anyone is interested.
