or a spider that hunts much younger spiders and call it a cougar spider...

DiK, you are forgiven, because you killed the beastie. Fish80, you are not. No spiders in this thread! None! I mean it! Have you read my post in the EarlJam poll about being locked in a bathroom? I'm afraid to come back here now.
Interesting move by Edwards at the end...he nearly lost it. Truex Jr finishes 43rd. Guess who had him?
I was out and about today and just happened to be in the neighborhood of Ted Drewe's, so I stopped in. They have a few fall specials on their menu, one of them being The Great Pumpkin (pumpkin pie swirled with vanilla custard, topped with whipped cream). If you like pumpkin pie (which I do), YUM! So, devildeac, what beer would one need with such a concoction? Pumpkin Ale?
Ale with the pie? Wouldn't that be pumpkin overkill?
Shhh, that means snow and winter for us up here. I was hoping to avoid those...
Bad Fish80, Bad! No scaring BD away from her own thread!!
Indeed, the Ted Drewe's pumpkin crete is a standard. This is our favorite, although at one point, they had an apple pie that was top notch too.:)
Please try our favorite Italian restaurant, DelPietro's on south Hampton. :)Ymm, Italian food. Follow it up with Ted Drewe's, and you have yourself a winner.
Cheers,
Lavabe
BD - I almost didn't post the comment because I was afraid of freaking you out - especially if someone posted a picture in response.
Fish80 - I can't tell from the picture, but are the legs hairy - looking kind of like an ostrich feather from a feather duster. (Please don't post a picture - it's not nice to torment BD that way.)
There was an apple pie one as well. In fact, I believe there were a couple of different ones. Calls for a return trip. And, since I am a HUGE fan of Italian food, I'll have to check out DelPietro's as well. My favorite Italian place so far has been Luciano's Trattoria (sp?) in Clayton.
The big balloon race was last weekend, although they didn't have the race. They couldn't get the Energizer Bunny balloon off the ground. It was just a big balloon launch. Pix up on my Facebook page. There was a wine festival this weekend that I didn't make since I'm recovering from a respiratory bug. Taste of St. Louis was this weekend as well. Too many things to do, not enough time to do it in.
Does anyone have recommendations of classical (or semi-classical) books that you think everyone should read? Since I bought my Kindle a month or so ago, I've started picking up some books that I've never read. So far I've read Kurt Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle, and I'm working on Voltaire's Candide. I've tried The Inferno and haven't been able to make it through - yet. The Vonnegut book was due to co-workers who enjoy his books, and I must admit that I found him amusing - so much so that Slaughterhouse Five is in the queue. I like Candide as well. A new acquaintance, an English grad student, says that Milton's Paradise Lost is a must, but it looks like another one that will take some concentration. Any other suggestions?
