A late afternoon nap would serve me well.
Big plans for the weekend folks?
I have to mow my lawn. In early February.
I had to scrape ice off my windshield this morning.
I know this is the longest thread on DBR. How does it stack up to, say, a reddit thread or other chat board thread?
I did google "longest internet thread ever" but all the answers I found were from many many years ago. However, one thread from 2008 pointed to a thread with 10M replies. That's a lot.
They may be that 10 million reply thread.
Really, we should have some more posts.
But who wants to listen to me post about cars again and again.
I really could use a spice rack.
I may watch Ford vs Ferrari again.
It really is just a matter of taste.
Anyone know the best option to get to Wichita, KS?
Here's the 90 second version of the movie if you don't want to watch the whole thing.

The knitters only have 1,767,510 posts in their longest thread.
Hmmm, so they only have 70x what this thread has done.
No space in the freezer.
So, has anyone seen The Bling Ring yet?
Homemade granola turned out pretty well this morning.
I had pizza for six meals this week. Seems excessive.
Steps don’t count pushing a shopping cart...
I know this is me being petty here on this thread.
Does anyone have an indoor garden?
I usually get home a few minutes too late to see This Old House. I may need to refine my process.
This would be an unacceptable process refinement.

Game time!!!!
Pao de Quiejo - today's mid-game snack
Mr. Robinson with the dunk. Time to think about dinner.
Or I could work on my taxes.
I didn't work on my taxes.
And I did have dinner.
Good morning! I hope everyone has a fine, untaxing Sunday.
Broke through a weight loss barrier this weekend, pretty happy with m’self.
Went to see one of my youth in The Sound of Music. The stage version has a couple of songs that aren't in the movie. One of my favorite songs from the movie isn't in the stage version.
I may be ready to file my taxes...
Suggestion: change “Preview Post” to “Check yo’self before you wreck yo’self”.
Well, another one gone.
(No work holidays hntil Memorial Day)
No rest for the wicked it appears.
Fog so thick it is coming down like rain.
So, they have the Madden curse.
Maybe there is a Rogue curse. Nissan is featuring UNC "fans" in their commercials for the 2020 Rogue. Well-timed...
Hmm, everyone must be on vacation.
I work with a guy named Cameron Duke. He doesn't watch college basketball. Pity.
Caffeine tablets are my new favorite thing.
Watch yourself, friend.

Big, overgrown forsythia: 0, Bundaberg: 1...
...big, overgrown forsythia cousins :4.
Ugh.
I really need more garage space rather than refurbishing the interior of my house.
Is this your own, sole, single decision or isn't there someone else who might have some input? Have you run this wacky idea of yours by this other person?
I've decided our master bath is due for a reno along with the bedroom top to bottom.
Husband-of-weezie was last seen hiding behind the door to the closet, trying to set up a bunker.
These are the only other votes. They like hanging out in the garage.

Turned out to be 79F and sunny this afternoon while I was at the office.
This is the most logical garage expansion:

Hello Darkness, my old friend...
Sigh, what have we become?
Heading to Durham tomorrow for the Duke Women's Alumni Conference. Or something like that.
Vandyput in a decent showing, but they are no Duke.
The Classics major is applying to transfer. Vanderbilt is on the list.
The Classics major is also applying to transfer to Tulane. He is at UVM right now - that might be culture shock! Dream school for what he wants to study - Cornell. What he really wants to do is historical linguistics/linguistic anthropology with a bit of archaeology thrown in and he wants to concentrate on Mayan languages. You don't get all that at very many places. So he's going for schools that have at least some of it. UVM has decent little classics and linguistics departments but they don't have the archaeology or anything related to the Mayans. He's planning on picking up a minor in Latin American studies at the new school. He's going to stay a Classics major because he doesn't want to start over and a lot of the historical language stuff is taught through Classics departments anyway. Plus - he loves ancient Greek, he just doesn't want to get a PhD in Classics.
Headed to San Diego at the end of March. Any recommendations from the great DBR minds?
Besides the 4 years in undergrad, I've lived in Charlotte(5 years), Greensboro (4) and Nashville(4). So, 17 years within an hour of I-40. By recollection and not shockingly, winters were the same.
I also lived in Augusta, GA for a winter. Which causes me to ask, is there much difference between Atlanta and Charlotte winter wise?
I was stationed at Fort Gordon from ‘93 - ‘94. Moved away the week of the Masters.
Ft. Gordon has grown incredibly since then. It is now the home of The Army Cyber Command, the Army Cyber Schools, and also a large NSA facility that brings lots of linguists to the area. The surrounding counties have really grown around the base.
And, thank you for your service!
Here's some fun!
Need to get a new office fridge purchased! Woooohoooo!
Or anyone that brings in Ham Yu. That stuff stinks...
I'm so afraid of what that might be that I'm not even going to Google it.
And don't feel like you have to explain it either
Don't worry, I got you. Ham Yu is the little dude in red.

If you could only grow half a beard would you?
I took yesterday off, I needed the break.
Potent potables for $400, Alex.
I had been watching all the reruns of a show I watched two decades ago. But now in the 5th season, I've run out of steam. Other than the hyper cute Larisa Oleynik, the show has gotten old.
Yesterday was a great day at work, but I'm exhausted.
Okay, that was creepy...and no, not the beard stuff.
Friday is My Day.
Would you say I have a plethora of pinatas?
Do you one better, here's a video.
It's a timeless question.

I've somehow made it through an entire year of marriage.
She is a lucky woman...or did I get that backwards?
Hot damn!
Sometimes lunch really hits the spot...
She wore...
Congrats matty, nice present in your briefcase for Mrs. matty I imagine?
Spectacular!
My brush pile wasn’t interested in burning today
2nd viewing of Ford vs. Ferrari
These gentlemen seem a bit temperamental.
I'm in the mood to change out the souped up CR-V (Acura) for something a bit more sporty.
Kale mango smoothie not as disgusting as I feared. Just don’t look at it.
Threat level midnight.
The line at the barber shop is a bit long.
I prefer a midweek cut about once a month to get away from the office. Good shoe shine to boot.
Ears lowered.
Meatless burger for lunch. First one I consumed had mayonnaise. This one did not. Better with/but fine without.
Does anyone belong to a community solar program? Currently evaluating an offering. Maybe this should be an investment thread post?
I went short sleeves. Perhaps I shouldn’t have.
More waiting...
New wheels
I married a Hokie, that's no jokie.
Dang, just watched my other alma mater get beat by a buzzer beater.
And then I watch us...
Hmm, got a database error for a bit.
I was thinking more along these lines:

Still haven't heard what happened beyond an update that didn't go quite as planned...

I think it was the excessive schadenfreude.
160 mile drive this morning. It’s great to be back in a car.
The most recent Survivor thread has been quiet for a bit. But probably driven by the episodic nature of the show.
I don't think they gave me a printed version of the owner's manual. What year do they think this is 2020?
That brings up memories of Y2K. That or my everchanging eyesight.
Okay silence on the community solar front. The rate of retrun works out to 6.1% after adjusting for the tax credit. Better than a CD but not super attaractive either. Particularly when you factor in the potential to move outside of the service area.
Like who is buried in Grant's tomb?
Or how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
What you made for dinner tonight in a long while.
Yummmmm!!!!
It is a Sinatra kinda night.
Well that mood didn't last long. Heard this earlier today. I forgot that this was the Tubes.

Definitely a song that would not be written today.
My car sounds a little bit like this. Except without the throaty rumble. But it does have 8 gears.

I'm still waiting for the 2020 Presidential election thread to kick it into high gear.
Hoping that starting tomorrow, daily driving can be fun again.
I didn’t hit 126 on the back straight but did get up to 120 when I did this event in 2019.
